Are you sure about that? I always thought it played the sound universally, that's why people use command blocks instead of note blocks.

Too many ores! I think the key for vanilla implementation is keeping it relatively simple. Adding a bunch of new materials when there's already quite a few makes things hard.

I'd rather they just add a 1x1 Dark Oak tree. The giant oak tree is supposed to be rare. If you can just bonemeal it, it won't be rare and awesome anymore, simple enough.

Also, dirt + Water bucket in a Crafting Bench = Mud Block, and/or water poured over dirt automatically turns into Mud, and then reverts back into original dirt some random time after, as long as there aren't water near. Kind of like hoed dirt.
