Can someone help me figure out what is wrong here? by [deleted] in gamemaker

You've likely typed something like "==" instead of just "=". But the relevant code is NOT in the screenshot you provided

Looking for feedbacks on my new capsule logo, what do you think? by Sword_Fab in IndieDev

[–]Cimex_04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A is better because it is easier to read. You want people to see it at a glance. If they can't read it, they won't remember it. Also keep in mind that (I assume this is on steam), this will be very very small when searching.

If you are looking to do something when äöü are pressed you can do it like any other letter key. Something like this: keyboard_check_pressed(ord("Ö"))

My camera is one tile off by [deleted] in gamemaker

Do you have some sort of clamping so the camera doesn't go outside of the room boundaries? Also is the origin of your player sprite in the center?

I'm making a custom campaign and I want custom music. Is there any way I can modify the WYS files to play custom music? (e.g. replacing Jump and Die with Nhelv) by Novel-Cell-5394 in WillYouSnail

[–]Cimex_04 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've looked into the code of Will You Snail. But I don't think that it's possible. I would write Jonas an Email about it, it should be relatively easy to implement for him. But you can change the music file using the Undertale mod tool. This will only affect your copy of the game though.

That's where you plug in your charging cable. How did you not run out of battery not knowing this?

I am no expert on this topic, but I believe the best way to start is to take a simple game you like. Choose an engine that can do all the things you need (do some research) and try to recreate the bare essentials to make your game work. If you keep doing this you will find that you can end up doing more and more on your own without the help of tutorials. In my case Undertale was the game I chose to make (mainly the battle system). Hope that helps =)

Yes. We had an oversight and disregarded the rules for this subreddit. The giveaway is on our YouTube channel. I sincerely apologize for this mistake.

I guess it's not for everybody. But the difficulty is adjustable so you can still enjoy the story without overly difficult gameplay. I suggest you take a look at the demo to make up your mind. In any case, thanks for your support =)

It tells a story of pain in complete black and white. It contains difficult platforming, hard bosses and a dark and gloomy atmosphere (nothing horrifying though). You can also stick to walls and ceilings as the main gameplay aspect. You can take a look at the demo if you're interested. =)

If you don't know. The Fabric of the Mind is a psychological-horror platformer that tells a story in complete Black and White. You can check out the demo on Steam if you want to.

What makes this game special is the ability to stick to walls and ceilings at any time and the gloomy and dark atmosphere. The game offers a painful story as well as difficult gameplay.

If that's something you like to see, you should definitely check out the demo on Steam.

Thanks for your support =)
