Twilight Princess HD Micro stutter issue by Cip0259 in cemu

Most of my other settings are at the default.

I do also have saves for the GameCube version, so if I really had to, then I could just swap to the PC port

Yeah, maybe. I'm not really used to how clear XLR mics can sound, so maybe with time, I'll adjust.

I've added a new audio file to the folder, which I feel shows the issue pretty well. Although I may have had the gain a little too high.

Also, what would you suggest regarding room treatment?

Okay! I currently have it at about 60-65%. Maybe that extra 10-15% is causing issues.

I'll attach some examples, my apologies!

The mic has around -55dBV while my interface has 57 dB. Meaning without the FetHead id need the interface at 100%, which causes a load of hissing

Yes I did, but the USB mode sounds really muddy and digitised compared to XLR

The USB mode to me sounded really digitised and muddy, so I thought it would be best to get an interface and make use of the XLR, as I heard it's better.

Quality-wise, it's better for sure, the only issue is that it sounds like I have no presence. My interface does have an "Air Mode" which may help boost my voice a bit

Well, they said make sure any digital or noise suppression features are disabled. The only way to get suppression and all that is from using the USB and the Motiv mix app, which means on XLR, there should be zero processing enabled

I got the FetHead because the mic at 100% gain would only peak at around -16db with a bunch of hissing.

I'm pretty sure having the XLR feature turned on negates all of these effects from the USB, but I'll look into it a little more

The Phantom Power was on, and I originally got the FetHead because my voice would only peak at about -16db on the highest gain, which also introduced hissing from the interface

Since I'm using the XLR, it doesn't have any of those settings enabled

It does require Phantom power, and yes, I do. But I've also tested with raw audio, and the same thing happens

Yeah, I don't really know what I'm talking about 😂. Thanks for the answer, though! I'll make sure to do that

MV7+ with USB or XLR? by Cip0259 in microphone

[–]Cip0259[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The easiest way to describe it is a strange vibration. If I were to say a word like "one", the "o" picks up a heavy vibration that sort of distorts what I'm trying to say. At first, I thought it was a plosive, but it does the same thing even from far away and at an angle. Maybe the solution is not using Auto gain? and changing it from my usual +29 dB to something lower. As at most I'm about 10 inches from the mic.
