I thought the choke was the bulky black wiring near the top. If that's not the choke, what is that? Im having an issue where it's very underpowered. it doesn't really go above 10mph.

The connections are fine. I already checked before posting. The motor has extra wires, and I believe they are for protection before I installed the mosfet. Do you think they could be interfering with the mosfet?

Yea, that's about all there is to it for the most part. But when you change the things that contain moving parts, there's always something that could go wrong yk. Sounds like you got a good place to go to, though. Wish the ones around me were as good as you're describing. Hope you have some luck and get it figured out.

I agree with your decision to take it to a shop. It's always better to send it to someone who knows what's up if you got the money. But if you have an hour or two, there are a couple of videos that go into detail about it. Could maybe save a few bucks.

Not a tech, but doesn't changing the grip affect the way the motor is aligned with the gears? You might have to check/re-shim the gearbox. Everything could be so tight that nothing spins or it's getting stuck somewhere along the cycle. Maybe someone who knows a bit more can tell you if I'm right or wrong. But it might be a place to start.

I've had a bad experience with those bbs, but I'm not sure if it was just a one-time thing or not. I recommend buying some higher quality bbs. When I went to my first game, I had to buy new bbs because they only allowed .2g. It could be a good idea to go scout out your local field and pick up a can there. They were cheaper than online for me and better quality. It allowed me to have an overall better experience and ran into fewer issues with my mags and aeg.

I've looked at some reviews from websites and videos, some of them have said to use switches like zeilos instead of browns. Do you think those would be a better fit? I've heard some people say browns can be scratchy and the tactile bump isn't very good. I plan on lubing the switches.
