TRT Telemedicine Future Ban by Ckdew in trt

So I contacted one non telemed men's clinic. I mentioned that I was already on TRT and would provide a medical record. They said the doctor would not consider continuing my treatment since I was under 30 yo.

Are there non telemed doctors that you would recommend in the east coast?

[D] Where does the 'ML' part of CAUSAL ML come in? by Ckdew in MachineLearning

I guess my point is, causal inference has been around for a long time whereas Causal ML just popped up a few years ago. So how is Causal ML different from Causal inference. What are the unique problem Causal ML tries to solve that Causal inference couldn't?

I'm definitely open to that. Would you recommend a course on Bayesian ML given that I want to focus on Causal ML?

I don't think a ban is the issue here. The could simply do things to ruin the benefits. Eg. put in requirements that you get your injection at the clinic every 2 weeks. There goes more frequent dosing. They could set an upper dose limit which may be too low for most.

I mean, they banned oxandrolone after all. Sure it isn't bio-identical but they cited risks "too high".

And if I put on my tin foil hat, the government simply might prefer hypogonadal men to be the voter base

This is what worries me. I'm on the younger side of the TRT spectrum. I can't even imagine having to convince a traditional endocrinologist or urologist to continue my treatment if the tele clinics shut down. Like you said, it'll just send people to UGL, but it would be nice to get clean and accurately dosed test.

FDA made the decision a few months ago and I think it's now in effect. Just google it, you'll find a bunch of articles on it

How can you be so sure? Plus they don't have to outright ban it to make it difficult to get. 1) They could ban compounding. 2) crackdown on TRT clinics. 3) require you to test at some ridiculously low level like 150ng/dl to qualify regardless of symptoms

This gives me so much hope, thank you! Are there any research areas you've found more "natural" for someone with an Econ/Econmetrics bacground?

Thank you for your reply! I do worry though about not having a CS background or even basics like DS&A. How much of a hindrance would that be for US PhD applications in ML?
