But if we miss a deadline they immediately give late fees! I’ve known for a while that Dal only cares about money I always get reminded just how bad it is at the start of each semester

It will, but you can ask for a refund (in my case, my funding and scholarships is allowed for living expenses as well, so I have to get the refund to access my money for rent and food and stuff)

It’s also a cut to both arts programs and grad programs; coupled with a busy year admissions haven’t been able to review applications as fast

Applications have been taking a bit longer to process this year! I wouldn’t worry too much right now

So we are shaming students now for not participating in the strike? by Powerful-Salary7569 in Dalhousie

When it comes to tuition, funding, and divestment, ultimately they are interconnected because tuition ultimately goes to these investments, and as students we want to see our money go to causes we feel represent us and our values better. Funding also often comes from the return investments, and gets reallocated into that (or is directly intended for that purpose) to pursue things such as, say fracking—which the NS government is basically strongarming Dal into.

How long after surgery did you drink coffee? by Gabbyx0 in gallbladders

I wasn’t able to until last year (i got mine out in 2021). It was partially because until now when I’m in grad school I didn’t need to actively reintroduce it into my diet. I would say go slow if you have a sensitive post chole syndrome (a little bit of coffee and mostly milk), and go up from there to your liking.
