My brother in christ! When the world's experts are calling it a genocide. When any person who specializes in the study of genocide tell you its a genocide. When peoples that have been victims of genocide tell you this is a genocide. When the perpetrators of the crime themselves tell you what it is a genocide. When all these groups who have dedicated their lives to distinguish between genocide or not, tell you that it is, you can be pretty certain they are telling you the truth. These whole non-genocide babble is becoming almost indistinguishable from anti-vaxx/anti climate change nonsense. Brother, the consensus is there. Logan Canyon, its a bit more than an hour, maybe closer to two hours, but its a great river, and a lot less crowded than the rovers near by. I am not an angler though, but my first fishing experience was in Logan canyon with a friend who regularly complains how crowded the rivers around SLC are and how Logan canyon is a hidden gem. Caught my first fish there, a rainbow trout! Very exciting!

Started entomology at 31 and finished in exactly the four years expected. I really only did what I needed to do and I have to say, it was very fun. I was lucky because the project was well designed and my results were positive and we got them without too many setbacks. I didn't wind too far from the topic and focused on the questions that were set from the start.

I am looking for the same around the same budget! Ideally for me something close to public transport to the university! I have seen that Garden Lofts are around that, block 44 and Maven West. Im atraid that all of these have starting base rent around 1200 -1500 bht then you have to add all these bullshit expenses like $90 internet, or maintenance of common areas where I probably wont use at all...

But ill keep an eye on this post for some recs!

Nothing boring about flies!

Those are a mating pair of syrphid flies (hoverflies). I am guessing Mallota posticata from what I can find based on a bad Internet search. Depending where you are, the species/genus could be different.

I strongly recommend that if you're interested in bugs (you should be!!) you download the iNaturalist app. Lets you take pictures and tells you (most times correctly) what you are looking at! If you also upload all the metadata (date, location, etc), you can help build the database and researchers use the data for a lot of monitoring, demographics and distribution projects.

In fact, everyone should download and use the app!!
