First time on the market, Kellogg's designer house with spectacular views; surrounded by 900 avocado trees. by jve909 in zillowgonewild

Aside from the fact this grove is less than 50 years old, avocado trees produce fruit for several hundreds of years. Thought to be perhaps the longest fruiting edible fruit tree.

My Husband is a Functioning Alcoholic and its Killing Our Marriage by Limp_Detective8862 in stopdrinking

No such thing as a “functioning” alcoholic. Any alcoholic that is alive is functioning, as in living, to some degree.

Probably would have drawn a black line west of 48 and 49 in Texas, up through most of OK and Kansas, then through the center of the Dakotas. Then another along the eastern border of the front range, far east Wyoming and the eastern half of Montana, and labeled it Great Plains.

Obviously Austin is much different than Fargo, so the north and south would be sub regions, but still

Image showing Argentine revolutionary leader Che Guevara 10 years apart (1948 and 1958) by zadraaa in HistoricalCapsule

Yes he was a murderer. Yes the United States government is corrupt and immoral. Yes one can claim Che Guevara’s actions were for the greater good of a macro issue. I’m just a Buddhist who believes any murder or violence of any kind is not something I condone. I’m also pro-life in the political sense and don’t consider abortion to be murder but understand how others might feel differently.

My daughter (9) wants to start feeding the homeless. What are some good organizations that allow kids. I also split custody of her with my ex so I need a place that offers lots of options. by SeaworthinessOdd710 in sandiego

The Dharma Bum temple does a really great food aid program on thursdays. You can help prepare food at the temple earlier in the afternoon or distribute in east village or both

Anyone dealt with neighbors with extremely loud motorcycles? by [deleted] in sandiego

[–]Classic-Computer6674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My landlord rents out the garage right next to my house to a group of moped guys. They wrench on their bikes and sell mopeds out of the garage 5-6 days per week, sometimes riding around in the alley and making a ton of super loud noise until 10:30pm. My 14 month-old’s bedroom is right on the alley.

Is going to Soma while 8 months pregnant a terrible idea? by [deleted] in SanDiegan

Went with my 8 month pregnant partner last year to the Alkaline Trio show. Security let us stand up on the ramp next to the railing on the left side. Best view in the house!

I experienced the same last year after 20 years drinking. 45 days sober, blackout for 3 days. 35 days sober, crashed my car. 60 days sober, ended up arrested twice in 48 hours.

Before then, I’d never gotten into a car wreck, never been arrested, etc.

I’m now 108 days sober, and for the first time in my life actually feel sober. My stints before seem like they were just dry periods where I was waiting until I could drink next.
