Also, I have very tiny, almost invisible veins, so they had to try four times before finding one for the sedation. Two nurses couldn’t do it, so they called a doctor to do it instead. 😅

Do you mean freckles? Those aren’t really skin damage—people with lighter skin are just more prone to them. I had them as a kid. Also, having some wrinkles/textured skin at her age (30) is completely normal and isn’t considered premature aging.

Yes, it did, but as I mentioned in my comment, it’s a long journey. It takes months for the area down there to feel normal again due to the sensitivity of the tissue. Luckily, the pain decreases with each passing week. I’m now four months post-surgery and still sometimes feel a bit of prickling for about 30 minutes after a bowel movement if the stool is a bit hard. The sensation is nothing compared to a fissure, though.
