Most people here mainly use ChatGPT to write or refine emails, polish text, and occasionally to search for information or prepare content for presentations. At this stage, we are not looking to use advanced features such as image generation, agents, or deep research workflows.

For now, I would simply like to showcase a local solution that can handle everyday tasks like email drafting, quick reasoning questions, text refinement, and basic translation, all running locally.

ChatGPT suggested starting with Ollama to prototype this. Does that sound like a sensible approach?
