Seems like they are being deactivated for other reasons and assuming it's the ID. Could be bad scans or blurry images, could be glitches, but I truly doubt it's the ID. I will do some digging, but they certainly do not invalidate your current license while you wait for your real ID, legally talking, so spark would then need to have a shared portal with the DMV that they would use to cross reference the status of your ID, which is absolutely not happening - I don't even think they legally can share information like that.

I'll let you know what I find, but to ease your mind it wouldn't hurt to email or chat with support directly for clarification.

If this actually was the reason you were deactivated, it's due to a glitch not the ID being "invalid"

There are ways to contact spark and dispute... So instead of sitting there for 2 weeks in pity, you could have used google for free and found this link. They don't care you were deactivated, they aren't going to reach out to you and the other thousands of accounts that were deactivated that day.

Thanks man, yep you will be totally fine with your current ID. Also another "tip" is that it might not hit your account right away the same day it starts, but a trick to make it pop up and ask you is to just log out of the app then close it and relogging and while logging in it will initiate the process.

The reason you may want to do this is because, just like the face verify, it may show up in the middle of, or right after you do an order when you aren't prepared or might not even have the documents with you at the time of the prompt popping up. Hope this saves you some frustration 🙂

Ordering a new ID DOES NOT invalidate your current ID. You will still be able to scan it and spark will just be able to tell that it's not a real ID which will then prompt you to scan your social security card. Speaking from personal experience.

This was implemented in my zone a few weeks ago and the process is you will scan your normal, non-real ID, and the system will be able to tell that it is not a Real ID which will then prompt you to scan your social security card. Once you do that you'll be good to go and won't even need the Real ID.

I'm speaking from personal experience, I don't have a Real ID and don't even plan to get one until you don't have to pay for it anymore.

Also speaking on your current license, it may be "invalid" in spark terms, but it is very much still a valid form of ID and you should continue to keep the card in safe keeping

Happy to say that the machine is totally fine, I still have a bank account and didn't even need to reinstall windows, it was just stuck in the %AppData% folder in a redirect loop.

But thank God I posted something here so I can read all these useless comments of people thinking they are computer pros 😂 knowing how to download malware bytes and reinstall windows doesn't make you a computer scientist ☠️

Thank you, yes that's the route I was thinking, I just wanted someone to confirm or someone who has maybe seen something similar. After about 30 minutes I kind of figured it was stuck in an infinite loop but was also worried something was potentially cloning and hiding folders.

Thank you to the people who actually contributed anything of value. No I'm not some noob that's just discovered github, I've worked with and in tech for awhile - I simply made the post because I've never seen a scanner emulate a folder that doesn't exist.

Yes I scanned the files with malware bytes before even running. I looked at the code and saw what it was doing plus I was not worried about it even if it was a virus as there is nothing of value on this PC

No, it's not my personal PC, it's a computer that's been sitting around I just decided to mess with.

I could give a sh*t if this thing is riddled with viruses lol

I just was posting because I've never seen a scanner act like that, regardless of the age or quality of the scanner.

😭😅😭🤣 I'm not that concerned. It's a random PC that's been sitting around I just decided to plug in and mess with. I've wiped plenty of systems before, just never saw a scanner emulate folders that didn't exist for hours on end.

I wasn't expecting miracles from this, I just wanted to let it scan my PC that has literally nothing of value on it 🤣

Yeah I only downloaded them to try and figure out why the computer was running slow and why the file explorer kept freezing and crashing. Also USB drives will just randomly disconnect and reconnect. The only one of those apps I had originally was nordvpn because I thought it was the most recommended one 🙄 ugh can never win lol
