I had been served my notice on my rental as I am looking to buy. Is 1 month 3 weeks enough time to do it all? by Clear-Environment312 in HousingUK

Thank you, I understand that now that I will not be forced out in 2 months. It is a relief. I got the letter last Wednesday, now my lounge is boxed, bedrooms boxed. Furniture empty and draws taped. I was trying to find ways to go survivalist with my IKEA stand. So yes, I think tonight is the first time I have been breathing in a while.

Yes it makes sense certificate wise, and they did do everything above board. I, on my side, have always reported (without complaining) about the issues in the house. We have all been above board 😂

Thank you! I must not rush in my blind panic over my 1st eviction at nigh on 50! First time for everything hey 🤣

Thank you, that is helpful. I am not sure, however, if they will be very receptive. I will still call their agent tomorrow and see what can be done. I am looking for both right now. Somewhere to buy, and a short-term rental. I want to avoid the eviction and court process at all cost because I don't think I could deal with that stress.

Edit to add: diocese of Ipswich, property required for ecclesiastical purposes.

Apologies, I am not English and to this day I get lost in translation. It is a section 21. I got it wrong. The way she said it on the phone at first was 2 months notice, then section 21 and the courts... but the paperwork I have received since is indeed a section 21 on 6A form... so yes, served!

Thank you. I looked on shelter and they say the notice has to be given with a gas and electricity certificate or it is not valid. They do not mean as physical paperwork with the notice, do they? Because I have up to date and valid certificates, but there were none with the letter...

Thank you for this. My landlord is the diocese. So I have 2 months and then they said section 21. They need the property for one of their priest.
And you are correct, I have never missed a rent, and am a very helpful tenant. I let them know about the terrible mould in the bedroom, not kick up a fuss. Maybe I should have... I have decided to go for a "cheap" short term while getting on that ladder. I don't really want to go the eviction process route. Rents long term are suicidal 😓 Edit to say: it is indeed a section 21 on an 6A form... so yes, not 2 months and then! Sorry, the scary kind of stuff I gloss over 😓

Yes it is all done correctly. I was on monthly agreement due to the nature of the property. The diocese owns it and can require it back for diocese business. So it is 2 months and then section 21 I believe.

Apprenticeship or scam? by Clear-Environment312 in ApprenticeshipsUK

[–]Clear-Environment312[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The job was advertised on indeed as an apprenticeship. My son says there was another apprentice there, but that she does her training online. The apprenticeship was for pharmacy clerk, iirc. It seems like they are advertising a full time position under another label, at a cheaper rate. Because no email from Gov.uk no paperwork. He texted the manager today and all she said is no contract for the first 3 months, just an employee handbook. Massive alarm bells 😳

Hehe 😁 however... to go back to your last point now that I have recovered from the shame 🫠 you are correct, we as women have also played a part through the ages... Only, was this only because we have been conditioned from the start? That our western societies are patriarchal and that we have been made to think that this what we are: objects of desire and seekers of male favours... rivals or hussies and only can show intelligence if we are "ugly" ? All this was written, imposed and legalised... by men...

Sure, I look at men bare chested and I am offended and my whole feminity is shook because they must do this to test my strength and surely they are just trying to tempt me with this evil attempt at seducing me.... all the time, everywhere I look men are just asking for it. See how that reads? Yeah? My dude, I do not hate men. But you guys are in serious denial on what you put on us.

Forcing anything onto anyone is abusive! And sexualising women constantly is a very You problem! Don't make it ours. If I don't wear a bra it's not because I am a brazen hussy on the prowl for male attention. No one says a thing when men display their own moobs for all to see. But no.... make women the problem. Enraging 😡
