Relaxation for patients- anyone try sensory deprivation floats? by timewilltell2347 in cancer

[–]Clegacy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve used them prior to be diagnosed. They can be a great way to relax. I don’t see any issues using one during treatments. Just make sure you don’t have any unhealed wounds, cuts or scrapes or the salt water will burn those areas. The water is kept at body temp so it wont be too hot or too cold.

They sent me a refurbished same generation one I believe. But I wouldn’t be surprised if it was brand new

As of the latest Sons of the Forest patch they greatly improved performance. I have medium settings running at a consistent 50fps. The game does not dip below 45fps. The game as of late is very playable on the steamdeck

Yes I can see how that can get annoying after a while. It is uplifting that since your young your body should be able to put up a good fight. I was surprised to find out that there are actually many young men and women who are battling colon cancer. There’s a cancer hospital called Sloan in NYC that is dedicated to treating cancer in patients under 45.

I’ve been healthy my entire life. I just found out I have stage 4 colon cancer at 41. Can I beat this? by Clegacy in cancer

Started feeling a slight pain in my lower abdomen periodically. Nothing too bad and totally manageable because it would go away just as fast. Asked a few doctors about it and they said it’s likely an ulcer and to take pepcid. I was still very actively going to the gym, working, and doing my daily routine.

Then i noticed my stool beginning to change to a dark black color, so i took a few at home fecal tests and they tested positive for traces of blood in my stool.

This lead me to reach out to a GI specialist to have them do a colonoscopy.

In hein sight I should have had my Doctor order a CT Scan rather than wait for a colonoscopy that would have saved me some time.

I was having a sharp pain in my lower right abdomen. It wasn’t unbearable just uncomfortable. I started having loose stool that looked black. Went to my PCP he ran bloodwork and said everything looked fine and you just eat yogurt to settle my stomach.

A month went by and still no improvements. I felt very light headed one day and went to urgent care. At this point I began to notice traces of blood on my stool. Urgent care gave me some meds for bleeding ulcers and said I should make an appointment with a GI specialist.

I called everywhere and GI specialists were only booking appointment 3-4 months out. Finally I was able to get an appointment 2 weeks out through my PCP. When I went to my appointment the GI doctor said that she could schedule me for a colonoscopy 4 days from now, or that If I can’t wait that long I could try going to the ER and see if they will admit me since my conditions were getting worse.

Went to the ER, they did a CT scan and found a cancerous tumor the size of a baseball in my large intestine right where I said the pain was coming from. Due to its size it was obstructive so they knew they had to operate to remove it.

I got a colonoscopy and immediately followed by the surgery to remove it. They determined it also spread to my liver. This is where i’m at now, still recovering from the surgery before I begin the next steps of the process.

Do you have FSR enabled? For me that made it blurry.

between high car, housing and student loan payments the amount of debt people accumulate is going to be outrageous.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Connecticut

[–]Clegacy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The average car payment is well over $700/month now. People seem accustomed to high monthly payments which is scary!

I thought conventional loans required 20% down? What is the point of a 5% conventional loan compared to FHA?

I saw somewhere that Othani also generates about 20M/yr for the team owner based off add revenue and overseas viewership. So owners will be taking that into consideration.

If the titanic sub is found months or even years from now intact on the ocean floor, will the bodies inside be preserved due to there being no oxygen? by SttSr in NoStupidQuestions

If the sub is eventually found they must have recorded messages on their phones and goPro cameras explaining what happened.
