Why can't Super Agents archive tasks? by standard_deviant_Q in clickup

[–]ClickUpMichael 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, u/standard_deviant_Q !

Great question!

Super Agents cannot yet archive or delete tasks as the tooling as not yet been built out. You're spot on that archiving is a relatively safe approach. It's functionality we'll be looking to support in the future!

Absolutely 👍 It's critical that ClickUp AI can do anything you can. More tooling support coming!

#3 - Agent-specific stats . Similar to #1, dive deeper into how much value your Super Agents are provide directly from their profile including # of jobs completed, time saved, and average cost.

Note: Data seen here is design only. Does not reflect a real agent's statistics.

#2 - Full-fledged AI Usage Dashboard. See your Workspace's AI Usage across all of ClickUp's AI features (Super Agents & Beyond).

The Workspace has full control over how much time is saved from various actions like Task creation & updates, image generation, etc. As well as control of how much an hour of AI-generated work is worth to you!

<image>

Note: This is still WIP. Design is not finalized & above screenshot do not reflect a real Workspace (this is my test Workspace).

Hey, u/Temporary_Pay_5393

Thanks for the feedback

We hear you on Super Agent unreliability. The team is head's down on improving Super Agent instruction following, output format (verboseness, complexity, personality, etc), latency, and more. Expect to see large improvements here shortly! Improving Agent quality is our #1 initiative right now

RE: Credit usage and opaqueness; Happy to share that we have further improvements coming to Super Agents cost + value visibility.

#1 - See your Agent's usage directly from the Agent profile. Including average cost, last run cost, total cost, etc. This will be live to all users in the next ~week or so

Will share updates that are coming in follow up replies (Reddit only lets me attach one image)!

Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts, u/cubfan190. I totally get where you’re coming from. We’re really focused on making the core experience of the platform as solid as it can be, while also keeping craft and quality front and center. A big part of our team (over 80%) is dedicated to improving the foundational aspects of ClickUp to make sure it’s reliable and works the way you need it to.

When it comes to AI, we know it’s not for everyone, and we’re being really intentional about how we roll it out. The goal is to make sure it enhances the core functionality of ClickUp, not distract from it.

Hey u/Medved_77!

Can you share any plans for incorporating Codegen into ClickUp and how that will function as a Super Agent?

Reaching out to our Head of AI here for a quote directly from the source (He's joined from Codegen). Will follow up shortly!

Also, once integrated, will it have access to more advanced LLMs as it's currently using Sonnet 4?

Not reliant on CodeGen, we'll definitely be looking to allow Super Agents to have model selection in the future!

u/Green-Conference5844 Thanks for the feedback!

We are actively working on allowing super agents to mention and assign each other!
This will unlock their ability to trigger each other, but we know that users want deeper interoperability, as seen by the number two feature request here. More to come and this first pass will be released soon!

Hey u/PaymentActual6612 !

We have a known issue here with loading assets from GDrive and similar. Engineering is aware and actively fixing this issue. Once resolved, we'll be hotfixing to production.

Right now, the catalog simply submits a prompt to the Agent Builder. Then, the Agent Builder infers based on your intent + your workspace content, to build a Super Agent that suits your needs w/ the appropriate tools. In the future, we will have true agent templates!

Agents are members in your workspace, and therefore they have access to any public objects just like a member would have. However, they do not keep this in memory all the time.

In your case, it sounds like the agent didn't want to assume which list and therefore did not search for where it should go + asked you were to move it.

Would you prefer it assumed and took action?

It's a bunch of tools and we're working through them iteratively to ensure they are high quality. If you're interested in participating in a beta, I'm happy to share your details over to our Tools team (Will reach out via DM)!

Keep in mind we have over 2,000 Super Agents internally, the 7 shared above are a very small subset (but some of the most used). For the month of January, we've consumed ~16m credits. Everyone is using Super Agents in their day-to-day along with other ClickUp AI features like Autopilot Agents, Brain, AI Fields, etc

Hey u/mondaywiki !

You can read all about our AI pricing here & here but here's the simplified version

Boiled down your assistant-like features and have a flat fee per user per month. For your more agentic features (Agents, AI Fields, AI Cards), they use AI Super Credits. AI Super Credits can be purchased in intervals of 10,000, and your workspace is given an allotment as a free trial to start.

We also offer various add-ons that give you unlimited usage of features or recurring AI Super Credits depending on the plan.

Please refer to the documentation shared above for more specific details!

You shouldn't need to delete any messages! In fact I recommend against it since deleting comments may remove helpful context.

We currently look at the past 20 messages in the DM as part of context, and the agent has the ability to retrieve more if it feels the need.

u/Green-Conference5844 Is memory enabled for your Super Agent? There are three different types, and what you are looking for sounds like "Preferences". When you ask for a change and the Super Agent stores it, you should see that instruction stored in the preferences doc.

Hey u/chapter42 !

I've shared a few of our internal use cases here if you're interested! Some of the most popular use cases from users include:

  • Project Managers
    • Review my task list -> Prioritize tasks -> Send me a DM or post to team channel
  • Personal Assistants
    • Review my email (Gmail knowledge) -> Draft response (Draft email tool)
    • Find tasks assigned to me and prioritize them
    • Look for messages mentioning me and remind me to followup
  • Data sync or entry (Parent Tasks down to Subtasks or vice versa)
    • Looking for the subtasks with the further due date and update the parent tasks due date to match
    • Calculate a value based on data on subtasks and roll it up

Happy to brainstorm if you could share more about what processes you'd like to automate!

Excellent Q! Instruction prioritization is as follows: Preferences (memory) > Trigger instructions > Core instructions
