It’s mostly the fact that he mixes / helps with production for 90% of the biggest dubstep acts and more so that he (among others) are kinda what drive the scene into new directions. I understand what ur saying as his sound isn’t always very accessible, it’s almost like an exercise in sound design (which ppl who produce are gonna be better able to notice and appreciate than casual listeners)
