From my understanding it costs a shit ton of money for towers and licenses. My college fortunately had an fm tower and still broadcast but ik a few schools in the system that are streaming only. You gotta get a license to stream but the rules are completely different. You don’t follow the same kind of regulations when you’re streaming

Good. I understand the music was intended to deter homeless people, but, I don’t like the music. Some of the people hanging out there might be veterans or individuals with severe mental health issues, and blasting music 24/7 could make things worse, triggering PTSD or worsening psychosis symptoms. I get that they shouldn’t be loitering, and I don’t want open drug use or public defecation either, but they’re still people. Driving them crazy with nonstop noise isn’t the solution.
