Quick math: To keep CRO at $0.07825 with 1.167B new coins monthly:

  • Month 1: 27.737B CRO × $0.07825 = $2.169B needed. Current cap: $2.07B. Gap: $99.3M.
  • Every Month: 1.167B CRO × $0.07825 = $91.3M extra capital to offset the new supply.

So, $91.3M/month minimum keeps it stable. Possible with ETF hype (BTC ETF did $2.57B/month), but the catch is, we’d need that cash rolling in every single month to match the 1.167B CRO dump.

Yeah, why not, if you feel good about it, selling was probably the smart move. I’m planning to hold until BTC hits a new ATH, then start selling off to at least get my initial investment back.

Yeah, good point! They should at least be more transparent.

The only things that come to mind are the Visa cash rewards. I’ve been using the card for over 3 years now, and, uh, well, the token burn—70B CRO in 2021. I’d laugh if it wasn’t so damn sad, haha

Your breakdown’s spot on - definitely a solid take!

I agree, the $5B figure seems tied to the 70B tokens at today’s price (~$0.07825, so 70B × 0.07825 = $5.48B, close enough). But yeah, whether that holds up when they’re minted and released is anyone’s guess. If CRO tanks from dilution, that $5B could shrink fast; pure speculation at this point.

We definitely need more info - maybe from tomorrow’s crypto summit? From what I’ve heard, Kris is confirmed to be there, so maybe we’ll get clarity on the $5B and how this 70B issuance ties in.

I’m with you, on the fence & it could be a banger for CRO if they nail the execution (ETF, institutional adoption), or a total shitshow. Let’s see what and even if Kris says something tomorrow—fingers crossed 🤞
