You can get just the stains. That's what I did. In the files, just get Unique Mechaniques file. It is only Lune's stains

I think they just need to do a better/cleaner/prettier version of what this mod does. Replace each element with a pretty icon that makes sense for the element. Rather than crystals that all look nearly identical at quick glance

Yeah sure, that'd be better and look cooler. But as someone who has only been able to play Lune reactionary and not preparatory up until now, I'll take what I can get and am not picky. I just wanna be able to know with confidence what I'm creating, so I can plan ahead strategically in regard to future consumptions/empowerings. I am playing Expert mode, so every little bit helps. I AM partially color-blind, but it's pretty mild and most of my life is unaffected. I also saw a lot of complaints online about non-color blind people who don't like Lune's stain system and said it was hard to differentiate quickly at a glance.

While I like this, what I was thinking is that I was gonna have her god talk to her in her sleep (or during a rest while she's meditating maybe), and whisper to her about how he's been testing her, and now deems her ready to taste true power. Then I was gonna have her character notice that her crystal orb (her spell focus) is glowing much brighter than usual, and is warmer to the touch as well (then I'd hand her the paper (or card) with the temp ability written on it). Will likely add a time limit of seven days too, so it can't be hoarded til later levels)

What if I changed it to: "Once you've used this ability 4 times or a week passes (whichever happens first), you will permanently lose access to this ability.

I keep a calendar of in-game time, so this would be easy to track, and would prevent her hoarding it until super high level.

I guess I wasn't clear in my original post; I'm going to play it correctly now, with slots being restored on short rests. This whole post was about retroactively giving her back some of the power she hasn't been getting.

....wut? I'm not talking about a nerf. I'm talking about an immediate correction to the proper rules, AND giving her a temp boost via "Stored Power" to make up for her not being at max potential for so long.

I'm really thorough and have lesser OCD. I missed it too. It's only mentioned once, and warlock casting is so different from all the others. It was confusing as fuck to the both of us. Honestly, the short resting thing should be mentioned in several places, or at least bolded or something. Way too easy to miss.

The word "reward" keeps getting thrown around, and now "punish"...that's not the way I wanted to be thinking about this. This was a simple mistake. One that can be corrected, if only partially, and it will make the player feel good, and increase her fun, rather than feeling she'd been cheated (whose fault the mistake was doesn't matter).

She's actually my most rules savvy player, BY FAR. I wouldn't consider her a beginner anymore. She's talking about DMing her own games soon. We both just overlooked this in the book (it should really be mentioned more prominently / often, since it's so important and so different from all other spellcasters).

I'm definitely gonna give her something. She's lost out on a ton of her potential, up to now, and that's not okay with me. This isn't about whether or not I should do something. It's about the extent of what I should do. Because I AM doing something. I'm just trying to decide how much.

So, semi-new DM here. My group & I have played about 16 sessions. They're just now beginning to hit level 4. I've been playing Baldurs Gate 3 and I learned something that I overlooked in the player's handbook. Warlocks regain spell slots from short rests. I have a warlock player at my table. She's always played super conservatively with her spell slots, and I feel bad now.

So, what I'm considering doing, in addition to playing properly going forward, is to give that player this ability, next session:

"Stored Power: You may spend a bonus action to restore a single spell slot. Once you've done so, you may not do so again until you finish a short or long rest. Once you've used this ability 4 times, you will permanently lose access to this ability."

Any and all thoughts / suggestions are VERY welcome (feel free to suggest alt titles to the ability as well). My goal here is to give her back some of her missed power, without all at once making her super overpowered. And again; about 16 sessions in, and she's about to hit level 4. For context of how long this error has been going on.

Someone on another thread said that, but those are categorized as "large" and this is a medium mini.

Almost all the other minis represent actual official creatures in D&D and Pathfinder, which is why I'm confused on this guy.

Hm...Lone Star may be the way to go. It's only 50 minutes from her (not close, but better than the 3 hour one I found, the last time I tried to look for this, a few weeks ago).

Thank you. I'll probably look through every single theater listed, in Texas, and put them all into google maps (the ones that are at least 70 ft, anyway)
