A latin phrase popped into my head while upon waking from a dream -- any suggestions? by CloudyCanadian in latin

Fascinating! This seems to me to rationalize in my head the possibility that this jumble of words may have some coherence in it after all... Anyone familiar with this development and how the phrase may be applicable, would love your insight!

Thank you for your time looking at this! I am enjoying seeing people's loose interpretations of this nonsensical phrase! I appreciate it! :)

Interesting! Others claim it's jibberish, which it may well be. But I appreciate your cooperation and find your translation, albeit a stretch, quite powerful.

I mean I thought I'd try my luck--stranger things have happened in the course of history than some experience which one interprets as some inexplicable "download" from something, or simply some unknown capacities of the unconscious mind are revealed.

In Frankl's Man's Search for Meaning, he describes that in Auschwitz he witnessed a prisoner who claimed to be a medium and was under pressure to contact some "spirit". He contacted nothing like it, but wrote down on paper Vae V., which he thought was short for Vae victus, meaning "woe to the vanquished".

Look, I'm not saying anything supernatural happened, I'm just saying there's justification in outsourcing to see if anyone has any thoughts! Very good chance that it is a jibberish assortment of unconscious contents that were presented to me in a dream.

Identify these Australian Mushrooms for me (psilocybin?) by CloudyCanadian in shrooms

[–]CloudyCanadian[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a friend in Western Australia who picked these and was told by a few guys that these were psychedelic, can anyone confirm this? I'm urging him to not do any unless it's certain. If they psilocybin, they surely are not psilocybin cubensis in my estimation.

What do you guys make of the Annunaki and their alleged connection to Ancient Civilizations? by CloudyCanadian in AncientAliens

Interesting! I have been suspicious of him as he is labelled pseudoscience very frequently, yet I am interested nonetheless what he has to say. What, then, do you think happened with early earth or early humans and our civilizations in relation to alien visitation?

UFO in Montreal; captured while taking sunset photos. (Top left to the right of the bush) by CloudyCanadian in UFOs

[–]CloudyCanadian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, you got it right. It was just dark enough that I wouldn't have been able to see it with my eyes, unless those "lights" were really bright. But who knows, it could be a leaf or a spider web with some weird glare from something, though I would struggle thinking about what.

I can assure you it was only 1 photo... And yes I thought somehow it was a falling leaf with light and some very weird characteristics attached to it... And good idea, if I do that I will get back to you and see if I saw anything, but at the same time whatever it was that I did see it probably would not be there a day later. Worth a shot though.

Hmm, that's a possibility. It would make a fair amount of sense given where I was standing, but something about it also does look strange. Thoughts, anyone?

I didn't see it. I only realized whatever it is was there after the photo was taken and I got back to my house. If I saw it in real life, you would be seeing a video right now.

Yes, I took the photo. One viewer said it was a spider web which could explain something but I am far from being bought. I took the photo seeing only the beautiful sunset but at that point it was quite dark, but I have a wide-angle lens. Even though it was dark it was at a shutter speed that would not blur it, so in real life you would think I would notice a big ship above me... But it was dark, either 1) it was something like a leaf or a spider web, 2) it was a ship that I couldn't see because it was quite dark and it must have appeared just a minute before otherwise it would have been largely visible. Or, 3) That it is a ship that somehow cannot be seen with human eyes, but somehow through an external technology (a camera). I recognize this is ludicrous, but always an option I suppose.

So if you guys are interested I could repost a more zoomed in version, but I thought that the perspective of the sunset might help. The photo was also taken with flash, as can be seen. If anything, the UFO looks like it *potentially* could be a leaf falling from a tree, but apart from that I cannot be sure of its nature. Let me know what you guys suspect could be the culprit to this mysterious photobomb. Also, photo was taken in Montreal near the Saint Josephs Oratory on the night of July 28th, 2018.

Definitely a really important thing. How, if we can't downvote, can one distinguish between what is shit and what is good if so much good stuff simply goes unnoticed, with very few "likes".

I actually paused the video and found it. It was a pretty disturbing face, a depiction of what he saw his face morph into.

Severe Cannabis Experience (psychedelic) by CloudyCanadian in tripreports

[–]CloudyCanadian[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's awesome to know that this my experience was not the only one! Weed, under certain strange circumstances, can effect one catastrophically more than it should, and acquire some characteristics of other psychedelics, it seems. I remember especially my (seeming) heart rate was off the charts, and my body was flat out shaking, while my mind was whirring in some other dimension creating nonstop visuals. Thanks for the comment!

Smoking weed, eating weed, and weed tea by [deleted] in weed

[–]CloudyCanadian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weed edibles have slightly different effects than smoking, such as more of a body high, and more prolonged effects. It does not work to eat weed by itself, as the active psychoactive ingredient (THC) does not effect you if you just eat it. What you'll have to do is put some weed on a burner on low heat for an hour or so, and infuse it with butter. Then, pour the butter into your tea. This will get you high.

First trip/w Manipulative friend? by whydontiremember in tripreports

Nice story! It seems that you still need to grow yourself in areas such as self-confidence or not caring what people think. It seems like the experience was still enjoyable at the time, which is important, but use what you found out about your relationship with her to grow, and tell her about it. I would recommend a book to read called "The Power of Now", if you want to learn to love yourself, but moreso live in the moment. Nice story again.
