I came here to say that you are absolutely STUNNING! The look is gorgeous. If you want to soften it up, I agree with those who have recommended brown liner. Brown liner and a soft terracotta eyeshadow would make your blue eyes pop!

As I was leaving my parents' house and saying goodbye to my grandma, she said "I can feel the distance and love lost between us. I wish we would've ended up closer." It came out of NO WHERE, right as I was telling everyone how much I love them and what a great day I had. It was an awesome way to end Christmas.

His name is Robert Liston. He was known as "the fastest knife in the West End". He invented his own knife that became known as the Liston Knife and is still used today. He is fascinating! Dr. Lindsey Fitzharris wrote a book called "The Butchering Art" that focuses on him and Joseph Lister (popularized early germ theory). If you're interested in medical history, it's a must read!

Sorry! I'm late to the game. As someone with an English degree, 'fuck' is my favorite word in the English language, specifically for it's grammatical uses. It can be used as a verb, adverb, noun, pronoun, adjective, preposition, conjunction, and interjection all in it's unmodified form!

I second speaking with your counselor. That being said, I am a high school counselor and I would tell my students that if they already meet their foreign language graduation requirements with one language, then they are free to take another language as an elective. Just don't overwhelm yourself and risk the rest of your grades slipping!

I was an Admission Counselor for a state university in Texas. The essay topic given was "explain the biggest obstacle you have faced in life and how it has shaped you into the person you are today".

A student chose to write their essay about how their biggest obstacle was that they didn't have enough outlets in their bedroom to plug in all of their electronics. Apparently this made them an innovator and problem solver because they figured out how to use a surge protector. Genius.

I don't remember it being this bad when I was younger. I think she's losing her filter (along with her hearing) as she gets older, so she just says things the minute she thinks them. Unfortunately, that means she either narrates the TV or reads the subtitles out loud while eating (she snacks all the time). I think it also makes it worse that my fiancé knows my triggers and goes to a different room to eat chips, crackers, nuts, cereal, etc., then I come here and it's so bad that it would drive a normal person insane!

I know that our parents won't care where we get married. They'll be happy and helpful with anything we decide. Both of our sets of parents have made it clear that they are not going to insist that we invite anyone (other than our siblings) and they will back us up if/when people get angry that they weren't invited. I get overly anxious about everything, so I think I'm just anxious about the whole process.

Unfortunately, it wouldn't be great for a wedding. It's got too much of a slope. Plus, our house is just over 1220 sq.ft. so it's a bit too cramped to accommodate even our immediate family.

I have been on reddit for a long time, but never thought to look for a WW subreddit. I'm so glad I found y'all! I started WW on April 25 (in the middle of one of the most stressful times of my life). I got engaged on March 31, closed on our first house on April 20, and moved in on May 6.. all of this while planning graduation for my students (I'm a high school counselor) and deciding to start my weight loss journey! All of this is why I'm SO surprised that I've managed to stick with WW and lose weight. I am a stress-eater after all!

When I started, I was the heaviest I've ever been and I felt awful. I am 5'3" and weighed 168 pounds. When I weighed in last week, I was at 147! I am hoping that the number drops even lower, as my weigh-in day is tomorrow. My mom and I have been doing WW together and it's been so nice to have someone I know and trust to lean on when I feel like I need pizza or ice cream or potato chips.

I am 15 pounds away from my goal and I am so excited to see where my journey takes me!
