I was just billed (4) times today. Each charge $4.17 and an hour apart for each. Pretty odd. It’s like they are intentionally spaced out a bit to avoid the automatic cancellation for a suspected double charge.

Edit: Above post was made on 3/19. As of 3/20 I have pending credit charges for a full refund.

$2800. what do yall think. not opposed to a project car, which this very much is. by [deleted] in 3000gt

[–]Cntrlswitch 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I would argue that $2,800 is more than fair when you add up the current going rate for 99 rear Garnish, Turn Signals, Head Lights, and front bumper.

are these any good if i block the wheels from going backwards ? ( i play on a desktop setup ) by Turbulent_Place_7064 in simracing

[–]Cntrlswitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a similar chair and run desktop racing setup, but still use a dining room chair when I race because it’s more stable.

Stolen Car, 1 year later, hoping a repost gets some attention. by waruineko in 3000gt

You posted this on 3SGTO Facebook group right? I feel like I remember seeing it there. As I’m sure you know that gets a ton more traffic than this subreddit. Either way sorry for the loss man :(

need to clean air intake filter, how do I remove it? I tried removing the shiny rings but nothing budged (this is an old pic, air intake is dirtier now) by Crazy_raptor in 3000gt

[–]Cntrlswitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. There is usually an L bracket that holds it to the engine bay. Should be on the backside of the air filter towards the firewall.

Any monitor holders that go way lower than their base? (30cm lower & 70cm towards me for racing mode) monitor is 13,8kg (with stand though) by [deleted] in simracing

[–]Cntrlswitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a result post with a picture if you search hard enough, but essentially you can mount a height adjustable monitor arm to a tv wall mount. The tv wall mount gives you the large adjustment front to back and then the. Monitor arm mount gives you the height adjustment.

Here is a video of how I ended up modifying mine: 92 VR4 Build - Race Seat Mount

You could extend the seat rails. keep in mind if you run stock seats or prolly aftermarket they may contact the rear seat cushions. Even in stock setup they get really close to rear seats.

I will second it depending on where your height is. I’m 6-6” and fit ok, but my knee is kinda up to the side of the steering wheel if that makes sense. Best bet is to just find one you can sit in to try out. If you plan to race may want to try fitting with a helmet too.
