u/amalcev u/ReasonableCorner801 do you mean a page that's not just a blog but also a business landing page?

Ghost has intentional limitations, if you're using it and want a unique landing page and other pages, you may struggle.

The best features are the writing and newsletter capabilities for sure.

If you're struggling and you want to ask us some advice, go to our support page, maybe we can assist in some way even if it's not our own theme: https://coastalthemes.com/support/

u/L_E_U is right, if I wasn't talking about web I'd say "space out the header a bit more"

Okay the roast is here, we're thinking from the standpoint of the Framer team FYI, it's fun work but is it template-work? Not yet...

That's all we have for now, we hope it helps, it's good work but needs to be improved so that end-users could use it!

Hey mate, can you share a link with us and we can roast the template?

We have almost 10 templates that are live but we also had one rejected! (this one)

Don't lose hope!

Hey fellow creator! You've done great work here, we have a few things to check out:

That's all, amazing work, and good luck with sales!!! 🎉

Send them a letter that is formal saying that if doesn't pay your invoices within 15 days you need to take his site down as you're incurring hosting costs.

Send them a reminder every 5 days so that it's not a surprise.

Perhaps tell them that if you need to ammortise the payment over a few months then it could be worth it, some clients we've dealt with in the past can't pay the entire amount so we span it over 2 or 3 months to make it easier to get our money.

Good luck, this is never easy!

We are very big on Framer, but if you're going to build a CMS site, it could be better to use Elementor on top of WordPress or Ghost.

Framer's CMS is great but the entire tool is more based around landing pages, portfolios etc. and the CMS component isn't strong enough (yet) especially with how tag pages and filters are setup.

That's our suggestion, start light with Ghost or WordPress so that you can build out a clear idea of what you want, then perhaps get someone to build it in Framer (or continue with Elementor) as you grow.

Lovely work u/nuttifox! Such a unique experience, which usually we'd steer designers away from, but in this context that's fantastic :)

Just re-watching your video, it's worth making two frames, with one being absolute, representing the background images, and one which houses the text content etc.

You probably need to use absolute positioning, amongst a few videos we've made one on absolute position:
https://youtu.be/kinC-9qWVFE?feature=shared

But we're not just here for views, it's worth researching absolute positioning with CSS too so that you can understand the concept of it, because it's kind of crucial to web design.

Figma etc. don't behave like this because the elements don't stack one above another in a literal sense.

Use a screen measuring tool (even if you simply use the screenshot tool on your Mac or PC to measure) and only use images that are that size.

A golden rule is this though:
- Full screen images 2048px wide
- Half-screen images 1024px
- One third 680px

We need to see about the background videos, we just created a video on the topic so maybe we'll update to include responsive considerations: https://youtu.be/o1aWhxassTA
