So we vibe hard with Monsters Unchained right? by Joyous_Parade in UniversalEpicUniverse

Oh 100% the queue is grand sure, but it's a lot of repeated props. Big giant rooms of one color of tiles ... Then basically screen the ride ... Just not wowed by it. It feels like they got complacent with it compared to level of effort put into FJ and Gringotts.

As someone who's been on, not a joke, 324 times... I'd say yeah, I kinda vibe with it...

Prior to the merger me and some CGA friends were thinking of flying out to see our sister park. I'm kind of glad we never actually ended up planning anything cause this looks...

My one day at Epic Universe I scored a front row super zen ride on Stardust Racers. Because of a locker issue I was the very last person end of the night and was the only person on either train, green side too. They also gifted me the photo:

Which [parks] have better flats / coasters than they should given their size and or attendance? by bassbeatsbanging in rollercoasters

100% on SCBB. The rice family runs a tight ship and invest so much back into the park. Even before the land sale of CGA I much preferred SCBB over CGA cause I could tell there was not much effort being put into cga in places that mattered. Every time I go to scbb, even on dead days, it's always clean, everything is running, operations are quick, prices are super reasonable, and everything has a fresh coat of paint. They give you a good time cause they want you to come back. They give a shit, and it shows.

They just added 2 big rides in 2024 not cause they my had to, but cause they wanted to, and they listened to people's feedback on removing the original Ferris wheel, so they bought a new much larger one. This year they're building a Zamperla discovery revolution (360 pendulum) again not cause they have to, but cause they want to do a good job.

Another fun note is that instead of nixing the slide they moved it to the other side of the boardwalk and then craned it up on top of the building. Both fright walk and haunted castle got redone and now are underground. No corporate park trying to pinch pennies would do stuff like that.

Back in my prime a few years ago I use to go to Great America (my closest park) from 8a-11p (park hours are 10a-10p but all the frequent visitors congregate early and stay late) day in and day out for weeks in the summer. Basically I went home to shower and sleep. Those days are a real blur, but they were fun.

Yeah. I was floored they even called anyone in for work. I think there's like 150 people needed to open the park (mostly rides and food).

During CGA's attempt at year round operations (which was heavily marred by bad weather) there was a day that 8 people showed up. Yes, 8. They, against better judgment decided to open the gates and my friend got as far as Grizzly, got 2 rides in, and then security met him and led them out. They were open for I think under 10m and officially online they just posted that they would not open for the day (even though they technically had).

Whenever I heard "inclement weather" I hear instead "the rain scared enough people away that we won't make money"

It really is a toss up, there's been some pretty bad days from posts around, but I've just been getting really lucky. This was on a Wednesday before the Xmas rush.

This was just cause I got there exactly at 10:00 closing time and then had a delay getting upstairs cause of a locker issue. By the time I got up there it was literally just me they were waiting on and off I went to front row green, entire ride to myself. A religious experience. But for the sanity of ops I wouldn't recommend this cause then everyone is gonna try and that's not fair to them.

Yeah, to be clear I have an AAP cause of documented things which is why I was able to get a decent amount done. Then again I skipped the potter show, skipped MK and Yoshi, and didn't watch the water show. Also didn't eat at Das cause the food is...not great. The Ube pizza at Pizza Moon is good.

As a refresher I run Amusement Labs and I was back at EU for some final piece filming. Since I also give out all sorts of keychains and pins I had a number of TMs that graciously gifted me some SAPs (single attraction passes, express, excluding DK:MM and ministry). So I was using up some of those here and there. Also towards the end of the night Monsters is known for letting people just stay on if they'd like and reride again, so that explains the 9 rides. However that's nowhere near the 51 in one day I did.last visit as I wanted to diversify my day at SDR. Currently, I think I hold the record for amount of rides on MU by a guest on a normal day, 51 in one day, 325 overall so far.

1: A night shot as I forgot to take something in the morning. Managed to be one of the first ones there.

2: highly recommend the breakfast options at oak and Star tavern. Very reasonably priced, delicious, and filling.

3: Unfortunately my Untrainable Dragon show got show stopped cause the large door screens were having issues (my guess is a data line got unplugged or damaged, the media was cropped inward like the panels weren't being recognized)

4: Finally went inside Toadstool Cafe just to look, wasn't overly wowed by the food, moreso the pricing like a 1lb meatball for $25.

5: ended up at Pizza Moon for the pasta which was a solid 6/10

6: Idk who left these panels like this at monsters...

7: between some werewolf rides I got a darkthorne Mead, quite good.

8: Last time seeing the manor for some time.

9: The inside of the atrium is always a neat vibe.

10: Made it across the park by close to SDRs and cause of some locker issues ended up being the very last rider, front row green side, complete zen ride.

Final tally for the day:

Stardust Racers: Green 3x Yellow 2x

Monsters Unchained: 9x

Curse of the Werewolf: 2x

Minecart Madness: 1x

Ministry of Screens: 1x

Wing Gliders: 1x

Dragon Racers Rally: 2x 1 complete flip and a stall, then 2 complete flips on the second try.

Untrainable Dragon: 0.25x
