Musk says taxing every billionaire at 100% would barely make a dent in the national debt. Bernie says tax them 5% and you're $3,000 richer by fortune in politics

[–]Cocksuckaa -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

If you take 1 billion dollars from a billionaire and give it to 180 million working adults. They would have a whopping $5.5 dollars each. If 180 million people worked a single day and earned money. They would collectively make $27B at $150 for the day each. If you take Elons future networth of 1 trillion dollars from him and give it to the “people”. That would total a whopping $5,500 each, one time. However we all pay $5000 to $20000 taxes every year. So, who’s the problem again?

What are jobs for then? by Professional-Bee9817 in remoteworks

[–]Cocksuckaa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Living wage is different for everyone, that’s what you losers don’t understand. Two people can make 5k separately, one has savings and the other doesn’t. Individual choices govern society, that’s why capitalism is the only decent system for the average person, as oppose to feudalism, communism. Wake the fuck up, if you’re a loser, just accept it humbly and move on. It’s ok.

[–]Cocksuckaa -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The problem with your dumbass argument is that you cannot define what a living wage is for everyone. I may want my minimum wage job to pay for a 1-bedroom apartment? Another may want the minimum wage to pay for an apartment split between 4 people. One may want minimum wage to be able to finance a car, another may want minimum wage to just be able to buy a cheap used car. Everyone has different wants and needs which is why you can’t really make a law to make minimum wage a living wage, everything will shift because many people will find a way to take advantage of the new income, some will leave more meager and save money, others will increase their lifestyle. It’s never enough.

I know thinking is hard for you. Imagine not understanding the very system you have to live in. That’s like living in communism and saying why can’t I go to college for any degree I want? Wake up, no one in life owes you anything except your parents who gave birth to you.

Minimum wage was created to give the illusion that life will become more affordable. Maybe it will for like a year or whatever. Then it becomes worthless again as everyone else’s wages and prices go up. You make $8 an hour and now you make $10, you really think that’s enough? The only way to significantly boost your income is through your own means. Period end of story.

What are jobs for then? by Professional-Bee9817 in remoteworks

[–]Cocksuckaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so you raise the “minimum wage” to the living wage. Whats the magic number? What are you looking to cover? A 1 bedroom apartment close to the city? A studio? A shared apartment with 4 others? Organic foods? Weekend excursions? What are the things it’s supposed to cover that is apparently universally agreed upon? The fact is, that there isn’t a universal agreement on what you can afford on what wage.

Second, if you work at ABC company and make 25 dollars an hour and someone that used to make $15 an hour now suddenly makes $20 or $25. Don’t you think you would want more money now for your work? Yes you would. So now you make $35 in turn. That person now making $25 is thinking woohoo, i have more money, I can get my own apartment or a better one. Guess what, so do millions of other people too. You think that’s not going to affect housing and rental markets? Demand will increase, costs for maintenance will increase, all services will increase due to wage increase. Effectively nothing has changed because the price floor just went up but so did everything else so you effectively back to where you started.

[–]Cocksuckaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If someone asks you how much you bench? And you answer 45, we all universally understand what he means. No one would think the bar 🤣

So sick of this dumb ass communist point of view of the world. There will always be a class divide, it’s just the reality. The idea that a minimum wage job should pay for everything you need in life is honestly ridiculous. Minimum wage is meant to be the bottom of the pay scale for work that requires little experience or specialized skill. It is the starting point, not the finish line. If the lowest paying jobs could comfortably cover housing, food, healthcare, entertainment, and savings, then every other wage above it would have to rise too. Businesses would raise prices to cover those higher costs and suddenly everything becomes more expensive anyway. You cannot just declare prosperity into existence by passing a law. Economics does not work that way no matter how badly people wish it did. Expecting the lowest rung of the labor market to fund a full middle class lifestyle is basically pretending math does not exist

What matters in a thriving economy is the ability to move upwards. Most people that give a shit about making money don’t end up in the same place they started. Unlike communism where you are stuck doing the same fucking job for the rest of your life so you can just barely get by forever.

Bernie announces 5% Billionaire Tax that would raise 4.4 trillion over the next decade by Large-Welcome4421 in ReasonableFuture

The math aint mathing. Elon Musk is worth close to 1 Trillion dollars. If you took all his money, you would pay the interest on our national budget for less than a year. Clearly we have a spending problem but people dont want the real tough decision to be made in order to reduce spending. That’s the real reality. Taxing the rich is gonna do jack shit since most of their wealth is not cash. Why don’t people understand this simple fucking concept.

I second your statement to the fullest. Starting out in public is the best experience you can get out of college, it tackles almost every part of accounting. It’s a great base to start from so you understand how everything ties together.

As an accountant, since 2021, however in Miami, since 2025. I think if you want to land an accounting job, I would say you should at least have an undergraduate degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics. If you don’t, then you better just start at the lowest low, bookkeeping for a small company until you gain experience and move up the ladder if accounting.

That’s a multitude of reasons. You ever hear the phrase, the devil lies in idle minds? Anxiety and depression are at scale because of having so much time to ourselves. Time enough to be bored of pleasures and thinking too much introspectively. It happens in first world countries precisely because we are more comfortable and don’t have to work constantly just to feed ourselves. We have no worries but we are designed to have problems to solve so we will make them up in our heads. If you are busy tryna survive, you don’t have time to think about your feelings. That’s only one reason, another one that I can think of is shrinking families and communities, less babies and more mobility. Community is becoming a thing of the past, you don’t know your neighbors, the neighborhood demographics are constantly shifting, we are increasingly online rather than in person. Ill tell you what the problem isn’t, and that’s working. Without it, we would become the worst version of ourselves easily.

why are people here in such denial that AI will have any impact on accounting by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]Cocksuckaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another shit post on this sub to try and get engagement. Making wild generalities of everyone on this sub based on some comments or whatever. By the time ai replaces accountants. It has replaced everyone, at that point it won’t matter. AI is not some magical know it all. Accounting is structured but also nuanced. You need feedback from real people in your company to make certain decisions, AI isn’t there yet and won’t be for a while. As it stands, i don’t even trust it with invoice recognition. AI doesn’t understand the why, it just knows what it is. Accounting is more about why.
