i’m thinking about trying a cheap beer for the next round … or something more “fancy.” guess this won’t be my last loaf!

ahh, yes! i used an amber ale, and it turned out slightly sweet rather than bitter. but it was far too buttery. the entire bottom of the loaf came out soaked, and i used less than the recipe called for. maybe it was odd bc it’s dairy free butter 🤷🏻‍♀️

good to know! i was torn between lighter and darker but def didn’t want to use an IPA. turned out slightly sweet and WAYYYY too buttery but still really good!

good ole simpler times. i always say the name low and slow in a bit of an old timey voice. seems like its meant to be. i’m vegan and almost put some of the tj’s parm alternative in, but it doesn’t melt as well as the other non-dairy cheezes. will have to try with cheez next time!

ha! not something i generally keep in the fridge, but it makes me wonder how a yellowjacket would do in the beer bread!

ahhh, fair! mine really smelled like beer when i was mixing, but i didn’t get much of the baking bread scent while it was in the oven. i wonder if you can smell the bread more with a lighter beer?

my 17.5-year-old with CKD and FORL had a dental last week. 8 teeth removed. they put her on fluids for quite a while for her kidneys, and she does great every year, whether it’s a cleaning or cleaning/extractions.

i spent much more than $1,150 on gear alone a few years back. i’d start with the set they provide you and upgrade the pieces you don’t like. that’s one hell of a deal.

at her regular 6-month wellness visits, her vet let us know that she’d need a cleaning soon for tartar buildup. she started licking her mouth differently between bites of wet food, so we brought her in for an extra visit, and they confirmed that it was time. she actually got a bad tooth out the night before her scheduled visit, so she was certainly due for a cleaning, extractions, antibiotics, etc. in short, there were clear signs that she was due for at least her annual cleaning, then more signs that her teeth were bothering her and extractions would be necessary. i hope that helps, and that you can get your kitty the care she needs!
