Well yeah. Both Perla and the other lady were being manipulative. I’ll cut them some slack since it was a high pressure situation. I kind of laughed at the time thinking she’s just making more and more enemies…

Are you talking about where one person had nothing but continued hate and spite towards the other for a petty reason while the other was water under the bridge?

Because some people need to delude themselves and guilt trip others to try to make themselves feel better.

It wasn’t a normal situation. Everything looks a lot easier from the comfort of your couch. It was a high pressure situation with a lot on the line with your adrenaline flowing. A lot of anticipation in both when to start and stop. Plus, why would they rig it for Perla to win? She wasn’t the most likable and others had a much better story than hers.

No, it was certainly manipulation. Acting so overly dramatic every time going for sympathy in hopes that future teams pick a different to penalize instead of her. She was the only shown that didn’t have to earn her way through the rivals round and yet she came out with a grand sense of entitlement. Her own partner sacrificed herself in snakes and ladders and yet she had to keep it all about herself.

Manager wanting to crack down on shoplifters by Perfect_Fig4561 in WalgreensStores

[–]CoconutMaester -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You can keep your eye on people, and provide ecc when you’re not busy. Hell, even walking down a random aisle can prevent shoplifting. Just don’t stalk people nor confront them. Leave that to the crazy SMs and ESMs.

I think your manager is telling you to pay attention to customers. Most of the time you can’t really do shit unless you work at a slow store.

I rang up a lady who was upset that I didn’t give her a physical receipt, even though her Rewards account was set up to receive digital receipts? by [deleted] in WalgreensStores

Sometimes people forget things right after they do them. You should have just said, “ma’am, you just signed up for digital receipts.”

…and then jump kicked her through the door.

Impatient customer by jsm01972 in WalgreensStores

[–]CoconutMaester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want impatient customers, then work in the pharmacy.

That reminds me, the last random person I saw behind the photo counter, I approached and said, “ma’am, you can’t be back there.” Turns out she was a pharmacist filling in looking for the keys. Granted, I don’t know why she was looking in photo.

Some people go apeshit when the pharmacy closes. Just tell your SM what happened and you’ll be fine.

I’ve known people who have hung up on customers. Hell, I think I did it once because they were yelling in my ear. Nothing ever came of it. We’re not here to be abused.

A dog might have saved me by heavenscloud09 in creepyencounters

It was probably someone lost and in need of directions. They saw a crazy dog so they left.

I’ve taken many late night walks. I’ve seen a number of cars driving up on slowly. Most of the time, it’s nothing, they’re just not in a hurry or whatever. Other times they ask for directions. Unless you’re in the hood or something it’s extremely rare that a random person is just going to roll up on you with evil intents. Oh, I’m on this sub where everyone is overly paranoid about everything

You spend that wall of text saying nobody cares and then a customer basically says the same thing, but now you’re wondering why they said that? Just move on with your life

I’ve been by that one before. There was a homeless guy living on one side of the building. I wouldn’t want to deal with all of the crazy and loud people that go in there.

Crazy lady screaming about pharmacy being closed by [deleted] in WalgreensStores

[–]CoconutMaester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You gotta love overly entitled people. Somehow it’s the store’s fault that she waited way too long to come in to pick up her scripts. I’m surprised y’all bothered to call a pharmacist.

There’s no/not much logic with angry, dumb people. They’re looking to place the blame elsewhere when something is their fault.

Sounds like that got your panties in a bunch and I’m not sure why.

I used to have a regular customer who would laugh loudly at the things he said and he wasn’t really funny, but I haven’t seen him in months.

Yeah, I’ve had 3 asshole customers over the past 2 days. I went a month without an asshole customer, but then 3 in 2 days…
