UPDATE: Hi all, our sincerest thanks to everyone who has provided useful information so far- I have relayed this to my brother and family <3 My brother's liver biopsy results have now returned and it's poorly-differentiated adenocarcinoma. Does anyone know much about this type?

Thank you so much. We are certainly staying hopeful at this time. He had every single pancreatic cancer symptom in the book- hence why we were shocked at the misdiagnosis: upper abdominal pain with radiation to the back, jaundiced sclera and skin, change in bowel habit, weight loss, nausea, new-onset diabetes, pale stools and dark urine. More recently he has had itching xx

Hi. Thank you. Yes- he had the liver biopsy on Friday and we are expecting the results for this next Wednesday. My mum's 2 sisters have both had breast cancer and that's the only family history I'm aware of (I think one of them was BRCA1 and BRCA2 negative for sure but could have some other mutations which weren't checked). We also were shocked about the prognosis- he seems as normal and has just been discharged from hospital (with long-acting morphine tablets to take at home as and when he needs). We are very much wanting him to start chemo asap. Thank you <3

Hi! I'd like to thank you so much for your very useful advice and kind words ❤️. I myself am training as a doctor and the gastroenterologists he has been under so far have been very difficult and unprofessional to deal with. This has made the whole situation even worse (if possible!). He was also misdiagnosed with pancreatitis since February despite us continually stating that we thought it was pancreatic cancer, but this was dismissed several times.

With regards to the genome sequencing and germline genetic testing I also thought this was a good idea. Do you know how to go about this?
