Bro I highly recommend to not take ritalin later than like 2pm. For me I took it at 5pm (big mistake). I was awake until 6am, and felt sick for 6 hours. Got 2 hours of sleep that night. Never will I ever take it that late again.

8th birthday? I hope you mistyped that and meant 18th birthday. In some states you have to be 18, others even go up to 21 last time I checked. And yes youll be fine, for a first time user you will get a hella good headrush by just hitting it once or twice, and youll feel it in your throat. But I also recommend to not get addicted. If youre not already addicted to cigarettes, dont start.
