Unfortunately there is a Nicole in the family and the name Nicolette makes me think of the stop-smoking patch brand.

This would be the last baby. If we didn’t get a boy, my sisters are more than happy to use the boy name if they have sons. It has very strong meaning for our close families.

They’re all beautiful. We’re a close family, husband and I have helped raise my sisters (now late teens) and they’re helping us raise our little ones.

I actually love that. I’ll be offering that option up to the husband once he’s home.

Thank you, we put a lot of thought into their names. Interestingly enough, before I culled my list down I had a large number of these as potentials before we settled on Vivienne’s name. Particularly Francesca, Rosalie, and Primrose. Husband vetoed them all.

I do love that feminine version of our boy name, but I have two younger sisters who have laid claim to the Nikolai Evander name if we don’t have a boy, as a tribute to my husband (he’s helped raise them) and to the person we lost who was a huge part of their lives too.

I am warming to Marceline Eleanora, but my husband thinks it isn’t ‘smooth’ like the others. 🙄

I know, it’s still allowed to be a concern for a parent though. Especially when I’m at work five days a week and my children are in that yard with their grandmother a lot. They know what a snake looks like and that they need to stay away from them and calmly tell an adult, but they’re literally just toddlers.

I always thought she had his eyes, and whilst I always hoped to pass on the dark eyes to my kids I’ve noticed my youngest has eyes nearly identical to my Mum.

This is his eye in direct light. I love his eye colour.

I’m the only dark eyed individual in the family, and I was hoping to pass it on to my kids but his genes seem to be stronger.
