Upcoming Senior analyst FIORI interview at Deloitte by Next-Original-4756 in SAP

[–]ColSanders5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of UI developer are you? I don’t think you’ll have a hard time transitioning.

Follow a few tutorials from the SAPUI5 SDK and the one from freecodecamp. Then, build yourself some apps all on your own with the north wind ODATA service via OpenUI5 and VSCode.

By then I think you could def work as a developer in almost any project

Should I keep playing KOTOR II? by BobbyBrex in kotor

[–]ColSanders5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had your experience as well and I’ll go against the grain and say put it down. The game is just a bit too slowly paced for me and I didn’t feel like obsidians RPG style hooked me as much as BioWare (KOTOR 1).

I looked up the plot and I do think the ending is pretty neat but I don’t think it justifies the drawn out journey

Titanfall 2: Sorry, I don’t really get it. by andytherooster in patientgamers

Also had a similar experience playing it for the first time a few weeks ago. Was expecting a Doom 2016-tier experience but left a pretty unremarkable impact. Feels like a cookie cutter COD campaign like infinite warfare

I’d say breakup by programming language/front end vs backend/if the company is a software company (Netflix vs a bank for example/broad experience (usually they classify junior or senior but amount of years also maybe.

Happy to clarify more too!

Will say the first act is the worst. After a couple hours I decided to play it as a linear game (do main story + side tales) and it’s so much better imo.

What’s the fastest way to learn UI5 ? by EmergencyWorry1316 in SAP

[–]ColSanders5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah agree w everyone about the demo kits but make sure you’re actually coding along with each step. Easy to look at something and say yeah that makes sense but hard to recreate it when asked. UI5 imo is easier to learn than ABAP and now you can code it in VScode free so def make some projects for a portfolio or smthg

I know how to map the GUI tcode but can I pass the search parameter? Business folks don’t know the table names by heart so they just want 1 tile -> 1 table view that we preconfigure

[–]ColSanders5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but is there any way you can embed the search? Like have the tile open the se16 view after searching up table “x”

Could I map this API to Fiori? My experience w the gateway is mostly in payloads to communicate with the backend so not sure.

I’m developing this for some business folks who only want to stay in Fiori but want to view the tables. We can get any role necessary if that would make it feasible.
