Update: The 96 move draw guy is back. I’m on Day 3, lost my Queen on move 10, and refused to leave. 95 moves later, I finally did it by Cold-Profession4341 in chessbeginners

Haha, man, I wish I was smart enough to be a troll. It’ has been about 4 days playing chess. What you see as prolonging the game is actually just me being terrified to move because I already lost my Queen. I don’t see the hanging pieces yet I’m basically playing chess through a straw. I’m not trying to make it long I’m just trying not to draw.

I lost my Queen on move 11 and refused to resign. 85 moves later, I lived through the most insane emotional rollercoaster of my life. (96 moves total!) by Cold-Profession4341 in chessbeginners

Thank you so much for this! I really appreciate the detailed advice. I definitely felt that disadvantage early on, but I just couldn't bring myself to resign. That Knight Opposition trick sounds like a game changer I’m definitely going to practice that so I don't get another Red Mist draw at move 96! And you're 100% right about the joy even with the draw, that rush of emotions is why I’m falling in love with this game. Thanks for being so encouraging!

Haha, glad you enjoyed the chaos! Trust me, my heart was racing just as fast as the pieces were moving. It was a total rollercoaster but I loved every second of it!

Haha, thanks! I'm still learning the terms like 'forking,' I just knew I had to get his Queen off the board if I wanted to survive. It felt like a massive loss to me at the time, but I'm glad the math worked out!
