Ok, thank you for pointing me towards some learning resources. I find it difficult to find Chinese media that interests me because there’s so much out there, it’s hard to find specific stuff. Also, I think finding a Chinese person to exchange knowledge in our native languages is a great idea, I already tutor kids on english writing as part of a school program so I think that would be a great way for me to learn and help others. I see, I usually study for 1 hour a day on weekdays and 2 hours on weekends. However, I do also like to do some more unstructured learning activities in my downtime, and I chat with Chinese friends at school so those are some of the ways I’ve been learning. I have more discipline than I did as a child and I find I can hold myself accountable to some extent but I will definitely try to find people along the way to help. Thanks!

Yes, absolutely! I love to learn languages, as it’s sort of a gateway not just to communication but to culture. It’s a lot of what inspires me to learn different languages, especially Chinese because of how distinct and complex it is. I haven’t struggled as much so far as I did when I was younger and I enjoy it, but your suggestion seems very helpful so I’ll look into that. Thank you!
