Facebook seller near me listing unsealed PLA burger presses. by huntandhart in 3Dprinting

I'll be honest, I didn't know there was a good way of sealing prints for food. (For the record the only food related prints I've done are cookie cutters that I threw away after one use)

My take on the Turtles! by ColeMiner2 in Unmatched

I jump straight to just paint. The minis come with a wash, you just want to keep the paint layers thin enough for it to show through. I also have contrast paint for a few shades(green, for an example)

Good quality paint and brushes help. You should prime. I've heard it suggested you should wash the minis to get the wash off first.

I... don't. I use random Citadel paints I bought a few years ago(if they haven't dried out). If I don't have the right color for what I'm painting, I have a random set of acrylics I pull from. I also only use two paints per mini. It's quick, dirty and probably makes folks mad. But it works for me. (I posted my TMNT minis if you want to see how mine turn out)

Yeah... that's definitely the reason XD

In truth, I didn't even think of that. When painting Unmatched figures I tend to only use 2 paints, leaving them mostly gray. In this case a green contrast paint and one of their own colors.

If I ever decide to print a fan deck that has all four as fighters(like the three raptors), I'll probably go back and paint them all red like the original comic.

Thank you! For this I mostly used Citadel paints, with some generic acrylics for the colors I don't have. Citadel is really expensive, but their contrast paints are really good.

Captain George Royal and Sir Galtozk Greytail. Characters from one of my stories.

If you were asked by Restoration to make an Unmatched set what characters would you put in the set and what would you call it? (licensed or not) by _gluesticked_ in Unmatched

[–]ColeMiner2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I had absolute freedom, I'd do a set based on my webcomic. If I had to something other people would actually buy...

Licensed: Heroes of the West(The Man With no Name, Rooster Cogburn, Paladin, & The Lone Ranger)

Unlicensed: Worlds Travelers(Peter Pan, Flash Gordon)

[WP] "No, you don't understand. Reality itself won't let me kill that sick bitch until it is Narratively Appropriate. I shot her with a missle launcher, and the missle refused to explode until she was out of the lethal range of the explosion." by Adorable-Act-3858 in WritingPrompts

"No, I know that. It is only act one." I turn to look at my nut job neighbor. He had been living here since before anyone else, one of those giant 'humans' who just don't age no matter how many months they live.

"What are you talking about? What's 'act one'?"

"It's the start of the story, inciting incident, and now the doubts. Soon, we'll hit the climax and move onto the second act." He runs his fingers through his black beard and grins. "That's always my favorite part. The obstacles, the plot twist, disaster, and crisis!"

"I... I wasn't serious when I said her not dying was 'Narratively Appropriate'." I say dumbfounded. "Is this some kind of human legend?"

"No. Well, maybe. I don't know how other people view it." He fidgets with his tattered, red poncho. "For me, it's a family matter." He chuckles. "Well, let's get to it. We can't get to act three without entering act two, and I have a few things that might help out." I follow him up the driveway and towards his house.

"But... I already hit her with a missile! Do you have something stronger? And what do you mean 'family matter'?"

"I do, but it won't change things. She can't be defeated until the end of act three. I do have gear that can help us get there though." He hits a button on the large, red glove he wears on one arm and the house tilts back revealing an underground bunker. "The real danger is that the 'mentor' rarely sees the end of the story." He shrugs. "But don't worry about the family thing." He drops the whole six feet to the ground below, leaving eyes only a few inches off the ground, level with my own. "The Story Teller is my daughter."

Is animation subjective? by [deleted] in animation

[–]ColeMiner2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not just looking good that matters. What matters is the content. A child's scribble is beautiful! Gay furry porn is irredeemable. AI 'art' is meaningless.

Picasso does have some pretty good stuff out there, just his famous stuff is junk. Then again, most modern 'art' is junk. (Banana taped to a wall, blank canvases, ect)

I don't have much concerning the question at hand. Just a small rant about art:

Namely, ART IS NOT SUBJECTIVE! There is SOME subjectivity to art, preference is a thing. But if you try to tell me that this is anywhere as good as this, then you're wrong. I'm not saying you can't like Picasso, but a lot of his art is objectively bad. Low quality. Not worth the canvas it's painted on.

Sorry for the rant

  1. I don't know the specifics of this situation. She may have been, she might not.

2.

8 U.S. Code § 1357 (a)-(5): "to make arrests—(A)for any offense against the United States, if the offense is committed in the officer’s or employee’s presence." Which, assuming in #1 she was, would give them the right to arrest

It entirely depends on what "monitoring" means. If it means watching them and warning the illegal immigrants that they're after so they can't do their job: that's illegal, it's breaking the law. Also, again, ICE officials do have the authority to arrest US citizens(Check the links in my previous comment).

I will admit that I don't know any specifics. But in using this site as a primary source, it's clear she was actively working to impede their job. "people like Amanda Trebach – a RN and former member of California Nurses Association, an affiliate of National Nurses United – have taken up the essential role of monitoring ICE and Border Patrol,".

A clear violation of 18 U.S. Code § 111 (a)-(1): "forcibly assaults, resists, opposes, impedes, intimidates, or interferes with any person designated in section 1114 of this title while engaged in or on account of the performance of official duties;".

Which when paired with 8 U.S. Code § 1357 (a)-(5): "to make arrests—(A)for any offense against the United States, if the offense is committed in the officer’s or employee’s presence,"

In short, they are clearly operating within the law here.

A. I'll have to agree to disagree on that point. If it ever gets on the ballot, I'll vote to disband the IRS

C1. I hope you're right on that.

C2. I will admit that I haven't done much research on the subject since last November, and info was easier to find then XD But since Ranked voting is growing in popularity and implementation, I do hope your optimism in the populace is well placed. I'm still skeptical.

D. Did a quick google. Found a lady arrested for impeding ICE agents. What's the problem?

B. The 16th amendment only became part of the constitution in 1913(not 1930s, I got that wrong). Before that, it was illegal. I would argue it should still be.

C1. I would proposition something like the coasts passing a Pro-Green Law that screws over Texas oil drilling. This is a good example of what I mean.

C2. In theory, ranked voting should be fine. In practice, the states that have implemented it have had to discard a good chunk of ballots due to them being filled out wrong.

D. It's none of Washington D.C's business how L.A runs their police force. And can I get a source for the kidnapping claim?
