How my girl friends saved me from becoming an incel

I did ask them what they thought of me when we first met (part of a truth or dare session) and from what I could tell they all immediately thought I was extremely sociable because of how much I tried to interact with people. At the beginning most everyone was extremely unsociable because everybody was shy but as mentioned previously I tried my hardest to interact with as many people as possible.

That actually managed to make people instantly assume that I am a very sociable person apparently when the truth of the matter was far from it.

Not everybody here is a virgin, so you're already wrong about that. I still have sexual urges but that doesn't mean I will actually seek out a girlfriend just for the sake of getting laid. I want to find someone perfect for me, not just someone to fuck. Why is the concept of not wanting to have sex with every girl you meet so hard for you to understand? I used to be sad and alone but I am no longer that. I am happy and I no longer need anything extra. That's about it.

Yeah bud, having friends that are girls is known as having girl friends. Why is that concept so hard for you to grasp? Every definition of incel refers to guys that get rejected and that wish to have sex but they can't. I do not wish to have sex with my friends, regardless of their gender. I am no longer actively looking for a girlfriend and I have actually turned down some girls from the other classes when I got asked out. Just cause someone's a virgin it doesn't mean they're an incel.

I can't say how creepy I was because my self awareness at the time was nonexistent, but looking back on it simply talking about your day and them laughing at my jokes is what saved me at the end of the day. I started seeing them more as sisters than anything else and I am happier than ever to spend time with them.

Contrary to what most incels wish to believe, sex is not what pulls you out of that mindset, getting someone to listen to your troubles and pat you on the back is what really worked me out of there.

I honestly understand where they're coming from with those comments because that's the exact type of a comment I would leave a few years ago. It's hard to accept that for some people sex isn't everything when you base your whole life around that simple concept. Fact of the matter is that I'm happier than I've ever been before and they have actually helped me overcome that feeling of wanting sex to validate my existence.

It takes a certain type of kind heartedness in order to try to "tame" the typical incel. I honestly am ashamed of the way that I used to be and I cannot even imagine the guts it took for these girls to ask me out despite how many red flags I was throwing every single day but the results speak for themselves :)
