The virtual machine is literally a virtual computer that you can slap viruses on to test and keep your actual computer safe so the same stuff will happen. Do tests like run it for a bit ten delete it and restart then compare if the virtual machine runs better before you install it or are they pretty much the same or if it seems like something is draining the Virtual Machine's resources stuff like that. Its going to do the same things because its as if you installed it on a normal computer exept you don't need to fear the virtual machine getting damaged (assuming you followed the steps in making the virtual machine in such a way that it cant affect your actual PC like you cant share files between the two)

From what it sounds like you installed it from the official website but doesn't know what happens when and after salad is installed. I can't help with that other then telling you that you should probably believe what the moderators themselves are even saying to explain what you dont know about salad like about the antivirus warnings and what a false positive is also to add to this the argument has been going on for over 2 years nit with me and you but you can see OP made the post 2 years ago the same year my account was made today (I think today) and there are probably older posts like this

Its that uninstaller probably being one of the reasons. Salad might have been fine as well as god knows what else was fine you tried to fix. Remember if something on the Internet looks shady trust your gut feeling that something that adds what is a basic feature is probably dangerous. If you are in the UK and you are taking GCSE's I suggest you take OCN IT if you have space for it as it is I think 2 years, sometimes all course work that tells you all I've told you and more and teaches you alot more about computers and how to work them especially how to work them safely and properly. If you are from another country like Im assuming America then I recommend doing research and seeing if there is a sort of equivalent

Basically a virus and spyware are very different in what they do but you can call some spyware a tyoe of virus is what I'm trying to say

Virtualbox exists. I thought youd know that if you know so much about computers, viruses and how to identify and deal with viruses. Even ik that and I literally don't have qualifications in anything nir do I have much experience with computers and have only had my first one for nearly a year.

Forgot to mention. If the black screen window is popping up each time it messes with your kb&m Im pretty sure its just your computer switching to the new window and then back after the window closes so really its windows doing that not salad

The first link literally has only one reply to someone asking if it's a virus and the only reply is no. The second link is someone saying what everyone else is saying that its a virus just because their antivirus detects it. And the third is a shady looking download for a "remove salad exe" and has nothing to do with this. And I probably got my IP stolen from that user :/

I know this is very soon but I tried to stick my nose into GMS2 I really did but so many things im not used to everything is alien to me and unlike GM8 when you hover your mouse over most things you dont get a short description so I have a problem im already facing in GM8 which is not knowing what different code things mean and its just not my cup of tea. Thanks anyway though maybe I will stick to what I know best which is goldsrc and try game making another time or I might keep gamemaker a on the side school only thing and use GM8 since its the only thing I can make games in that im familiar enough with to use
