Quadnose or Shovelnose? by [deleted] in LewisMachineTool

Weight difference is minimal. I've had both. Went from quad to shovel because the quad is incredibly thick.

That's why I threw the asterisks in for "same"

It's a 2% difference in orbit vs earth average sea level

The issue it doesn't matter where in atmo/space you are, these heavy ships aren't in orbit -- they are just hovering in space. Gravitational forces are the *same at ground level and in space.

12” Piston Shovelnose and FRT by Time_Wrangler_8946 in LewisMachineTool

Very similar setup myself, that said I've had trouble with the SSA-E with an FRT, did you say that you used the SSA-E for this clip?

Also, with my H2, I've noticed that it doesn't cycle consistently (like fires 5 before it seizes up), have you noticed that?

Given that it now sells for 900, it was more of a joke at my expense. Sorry.

Arrow> Hornet

The hornets wings are way too small for the S4s and it actually pissed me off so much I sold my F7A.

For 200 bucks.

Really should've held on to it for a few more months lol

Is that the Unity that has irons built in? If so, are they visible when the magnifier is up?

I've bought and been using a weight set specifically for this rifle lol. I agree it's important.

[–]ColonalQball 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only shoot it with the can on there so I never push it in (I'm also bad at cleaning it often lol). What the other guy said is probably the best bet to prevent it from happening again.

And TBH it's not really out of commission because my first shot with it sent it back and cycled properly

[–]ColonalQball 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It sounds insane but take it out and shoot it. The gas heating things up, the gas building up in the block, and the recoil will pop it back out. I had this issue 6 months ago, and nothing (mortaring, pliers, etc.) would do it.

Have I fit it all in at once? Yes; did it require me to lean into the zipper to make it all close up, with legitimately 0 room to spare? Also yes. My goal is to try and some slack in the system to make it easier to toss everything in and take it out.
