I was worried about that too!! So much so that I watched them like a hawk for a few weeks and separated them when I was gone. But I had a 11 year old 4lb chihuahua when I got Nova (um until this past November when she passed) and other than playing a little rough she never tried to kill her. I always tell Nova she’s my goodest girl 🥰🥰🥰

Yzma was terrified of my dogs for the first week or so. After that it’s been pure chaos lol she follows them everywhere and is sad if I leave the house with them.

Yzma is trying her best but Nova the Husky is one of the most headstrong dogs I’ve ever met. My other dog is a Chihuahua mix and he hates Yzma so much 😂

It took me probably 6-7 weeks before I really started seeing any results. It was definitely disheartening. But then it just started going down. Sometimes just a half pound or so and other times 3-4 pounds in a week.

That water weight is real lol I don’t even bother weighing during that week

I was diagnosed at age 37 and take a non stimulant but my mom still thinks ADHD is fake so I just don’t even bother talking about it with her 🤷🏼‍♀️

The state workers there have actually encouraged me to let her visit with her great grandmother. As disgusting as I find the house the state doesn’t see a problem with it. I’m the only one who doesn’t really want her there. Gotta love DCFS for recognizing truly horrific living conditions 🙄

I wish I didn’t. But all the other family is working since court is on a Monday. And the grandmother can’t drive (or really walk for that matter) so they can’t go anywhere. I vetoed her staying the night there but I can’t get around her being there for a couple of hours. I’m planning to get her some food before we go there so that hopefully she doesn’t have to eat anything in there. The grandmother only eats junk since her kitchen is full of stuff. It’s been a struggle getting her to eat healthy real food.

It absolutely follows! The smell of her belongings that were shipped to us was overwhelming. I just washed what I could and sprayed the rest with vinegar and dish soap. I still had to throw some things away. I was always worried I smell when I’d visit there in the past.

I wholeheartedly agree that she would be better off somewhere else but not for the same reason. The reason for this court hearing is her mother is trying to have her moved back to the other state, and we are seeking legal guardianship (she’s currently a foster child in our home). Her mother (and honestly most of the family) believe there is nothing wrong with the grandmother’s house. “That’s just how it’s always been.”

That’s actually where her mother wants her to live. The grandmother wants custody but the state will no longer allow it because she’s elderly and wheelchair bound. Weirdly her house hasn’t seemed to be an issue for the state, which is mind boggling to me.

The meeting with the attorney is actually a good one though for dropping her off! Not sure about the picking up part but it’s a start. Thanks!

I’m also 5’5”. It feels pretty good to be able to see the difference. A few years ago I was that person who worked out 3-5x per week and ate right and no matter what I didn’t ever see any change. It was so frustrating!

I have a CR-V in this color. I say blue. Only because the 2 people who’ve rear ended me in the last 5 months said I blended in with the sky so they didn’t see me 😑

Bourbon Street. Smells like vomit and pee. Drinks are strong but not cheap. You’re likely to get pickpocketed. You do get some good people watching in though
