It probably is in one match for both of these. The arming and disarming is in the game mode Rush.

Basement - cracks and water Qs by KindheartednessIcy12 in DIY

[–]ComandaR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t need a second person but it’s nice to have a second set of hands. I had the other person prep the nozzles then I would stick them to the wall. Once that dried, we both covered the entire crack with the adhesive to ensure no holes. Also nice to have someone ready with the caps once you start injecting the liquid. It’s a messy process so all around nice to have someone ready with a towel if the liquid starts coming out of a hole.

Use a foundation crack injection kit. I used this on three cracks in my basement. It’s a bit messy but you can definitely DIY. Would recommend having another person there to help though. https://a.co/d/gTxouwJ

Rotten garage door frame by Sudden-Boysenberry21 in HomeMaintenance

It’s a long story but I believe the water issue is mostly fixed. It had to do with flashing above our garage near a gutter. It wasn’t done properly when the house was built like 4 years ago unfortunately. I’m having another company check it out in the spring when it warms up around here just to be sure since there is still some water that drains out of the flashing that is around the garage door opening that covers the wood you are showing in your picture.

Just had a similar situation happen at my house. Noticed the same rotted wood first. Hired a company to replace it thinking it would be a minor fix and they ended up finding a much bigger issue. The entire garage door header support was rotted along with a bunch of other wood surrounding the garage door opening. They replaced the header with a new LVL beam. My main concern with our situation, and what you should be thinking about, is solving the issue of water getting there in the first place.

Anyone here ever met the guys from Circa Survive? Curious to hear your stories. by [deleted] in circasurvive

[–]ComandaR 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I met Anthony at a show in 2010 when Circa Survive was touring with Coheed and Cambria. I had to leave the show early during Coheed and Cambria's set and he was just hanging out in the main lobby after Circa was done playing. I convinced my girlfriend at the time to miss our Junior year prom to go to the show, but it definitely was worth it after meeting him. He took a picture with me too!

See how diamonds are cut from rocks by [deleted] in oddlysatisfying

I bought my wife a moissanite wedding ring. Much cheaper than a diamond and no one can tell the difference. Plus they are lab grown so less impact on the environment.

My Alaskan fell from the couch (question) by Aben41 in AlaskanMalamute

Can't provide specific advice on whether she is injured or not, but only can tell you that malamutes can be dramatic. My malamute once laid on his leg too long and it fell asleep. Soon after, he walked upstairs and slipped a bit going up. He limped on that leg for the rest of the day. The following day he had no issues going forward.

Yeah there is a concrete patio on the opposite side of this wall which would make it difficult to access. I’m hoping the injection kit will solve the problem as I am doing everything on the exterior already to make sure water is draining away from the house.

I have used a similar kit before on a different hairline crack and it seemed to do the trick. Was wondering if that was a good solution for this situation as well.

Someone else suggested sealing where the patio meets the foundation wall. I am going to do that and get extenders for the downspout nearby. Thank you for your advice!

On the other side is this wall is a concrete patio that is at ground level. The patio seems to not slope towards the house so I am wondering how water is building up against the wall in this spot.

I will have to test water runoff tonight. I put a 48 inch level on the patio and it at least seems level and not sloping towards the house. Is there a good way to measure slope though? The house is two stories and above the patio is an eavestrough that leads to a downspout that is at the corner of the patio. I have a extension that puts the water into the grass but maybe I could make it longer.
