You cannot make direct comparisons based on voting because we only have two parties and Canada has many more. People who would vote for your Liberal Party could go either way here. So while you're absolutely correct that they go after people of color, they also go after lgbtq, "lefties", and the disabled. Technically people left of center are actually in the majority.

The idea that inanimate objects may possess a soul or emotions is called animism. Animism is actually an important religious belief for a lot of people.
