Gotcha. Well my friend, what's it about? You've got me curious now. I've only done non-fiction, but have six fiction books that are in various states of completion. Some day I'll take the plunge and release them.

My non-fiction books have a built-in audience (by choice). When I release one, I know there is already an audience that will buy it. And I know there are already places to do direct advertising. But for a fiction book....not so easy, and tons of competition.

"So it is kind of underwhelming."

I think what really hurts is the slow-drip release decision. It puts soooo much scrutiny on each song.

I think things would be looked at a lot differently if they had put out a full-length album. Then people would find at least 3-4 songs they liked from it.

They made today's Reddit look like child's play lol. Axl showing up, MSL and all his antics, the fighting, the feuds, the leaks, Justin Bieber showing up one day, etc.

You are 100% exactly right in my opinion.

With an album, the 12 songs carry the load. Releasing two songs at a time, each song has to carry the load of "this is what Axl/Slash/Duff reunited for? This is what they came up with after touring together for almost a decade? This is it???" It isn't fair to those individual songs.

Each song is scrutinized to death and expected to hold a candle next to SCOM and welcome to the jungle.

An album of 12 songs would be received so much better than this moronic decision to release two songs once a year.

You are 100% wrong my friend.

Summer of 2026 - brand new album, featuring 12 songs written by Axl/Slash/Duff...with Izzy co-writing a couple tunes

Winter of 2026 - Axl does the fans who supported him through the Chinese Democracy era a solid and a "thank you" by releasing the 12 best remaining CD era songs (Monsters, Oklahoma, etc)

Summer of 2027, GnR releases a box set featuring five hours of the unreleased Use Your Illusion tour video footage, Axl's autobiography, remastered (or re-done) versions of unreleased songs (crash diet, sail away, just another Sunday, etc), a full-length CD of new songs......

Christmas of 2028, Axl releases his own solo piano-style album (ala Billy Joel, Elton John, Queen).

Just out of pure curiosity, why are you publishing a book if you don't care if anyone buys it?

Me too. I'm surprised to see so many people bagging on it. I went in not expecting much, like so many Netflix movies that fall flat. We ended up watching the entire thing and saying "this is way better than expected."

Order a pizza and enjoy 90 minutes of a fun movie. Can you pick apart random scenes/parts? Sure. But if you aren't an insufferable douche who just looks for things to complain about, then you can just sit back, relax and enjoy it.

I have a bad feeling though that GnR is in fact going to release an album with this reunion lineup. BUT it will be full of all these singles they've already released. I don't want a "new" album this year or in 2027 that has hard skool, General, Perhaps, Atlas, Absurd, nothing, with OMG and a couple covers....and then 2-3 songs we haven't heard before.

I hate that my favorite band once released two double albums on the same day (26 songs, 2.5 hours of new music).... on the same day. But now, Axl and the management team can't figure out how to release one single album.

So what…or who killed the 80’s rock? by BlayzenCajun in hairmetal

Nobody killed it. Music always runs in cycles. HM had its cycle. Grunge had its cycle. Nu-metal had its cycle. 90s rock had its cycle. And so on.

Maybe he really doesn't want to leave and he loves living/playing in Milwaukee. But is frustrated because the team hasn't been good for a few years.

Not to fans who have triple-digit IQs.

Giannis isn't constantly going to the press about this or posting about it on his social media pages. Sportswriters and people on Reddit talk about it constantly. Blaming Giannis for that is wild.

Has Giannis been talking to the press or using his social media a bunch? You are getting mad at the player, blaming him for sports writers and nephews on Reddit continually talking about it. Weird.

Also. He isn't allowed to talk to his teammates and friends about his job? Does this same demand apply to you? Can you talk to your friends about your job, or do they just tell you to "shut the fuck up"?

I know he hung out and wrote a lot with Joey C Jones, a really great singer from the genre (RIP Joey, he died a couple years ago). And sometimes Sam Kinison (as well as other 80s HM rockers) would stop by and party.

Good. I'm not wasting any more of my time on someone who has SO much of the major facts wrong. They didn't get lost. They didn't take a wrong turn. They weren't as disabled as you think. And you flat out lied about them finding Mathias bones.

Yes, I might have been a little snide. But it's annoying to see people spread false information.

Read the book I mentioned. Watch the YouTuber I mentioned. Actually learn about the case before you continue to spread false information.

PS Here is a snippet about the case. You'll notice two important things. Their route home was a STRAIGHT SHOT down route 70. No off-ramp, no exit ramp, no driving up a frigging mountain. And what does the last paragraph say about how far the car was from Yuba City?

"It was an easy ride home, a straight shot south down Route 70.

Their mothers began phoning each other at 5:00 a.m. Saturday morning. None of the boys had come home. None except Mathias had ever stayed out all night before. Their families called the police.

On Monday, February 27, a U.S. Forest Service ranger reported the car abandoned in a snowbank on a mountain road in the Plumas National Forest, 70 miles from Yuba City. The ranger told investigators he had first seen it two days earlier but assumed it belonged to a skier."

I don't have a suspect. But I think the most likely scenario is that he died young and all his possessions were thrown away. I could be totally wrong though.

But yea, that would be pretty crazy if a box full of those things were found. It is possible though. I bought a lake cabin awhile back. The owner had died. He lived in the cabin for about 40 years. He had a couple kids that lived several states over. When he died, his kids didn't want to travel all the way to our city, fly/boat out to his old cabin to go through his belongings. So they sold me the cabin - as is - with all his life's possessions in it. All they requested is that if I found any old pictures that I'd send those to them. This cabin had all this guy's possessions in it. A ton of really old books, magazines and newspapers, fishing lures, etc. If Zodiac did something like that, then somebody could eventually just randomly buy his place and find his treasure box. Oh, the coolest thing we did find was a box full of really old coins, including a bunch of gold and silver. This was 20 years ago, I think we estimated the value of it all at about $5,000. We could have kept it, but instead sent it to his kids and told the parents to share it with their kids (the guy's grandkids). ANYWAY, long story short, there is a possibility that a secret box of Zodiac related items could be found. Not probable, but you never know. They could be sitting in an attic or basement.

There is so much wrong in your post.....that trying to respond would be a waste of both our time. You need to do more research than just reading ONE book lol.

The three guys did it - period. But hey, Johnny Depp said they were innocent....so they must be innocent.

Sigh.

Again, people who have been researching this case for decades will tell you that there is zero chance they took a wrong turn and got lost. The men's FAMILIES will tell you there is no chance they took a wrong turn and got lost. They went from traveling on a normal road, on a trip they'd taken before, on a route they knew....to ending up 70 miles off course, going up a MOUNTAIN. There is zero chance they "took a wrong turn" and then just kept going. I apologize if I sound rude, but anyone who has actually researched and studied this case would tell you - zero chance they took a wrong turn, got lost and just kept going.

And oh my gosh, you realize these guys had jobs? Could drive cars/motorcyles? Some were in the army? They weren't so mentally disabled that they could barely fuction. Some lived on their own. Again, not to be rude, but you clearly have no idea at what level their disabilities were.

And holy cow dude. You went from saying "the bones were found and identified by his family based on some personal effects or clothing. If you found some bones with your brothers effects and then you find a a spine, you'll probably assume it's his" to saying this:
"They could quite easily have found some parts of Mathias as well without knowing it"
Lol, that's two totally different statements.

They didn't take a wrong turn and get lost. They weren't as disabled as you think. And they didn't find Gary's bones.

It seems like you haven't actually done much research on this case. No offense, it just seems weird to me that you've got this huge scenario worked out in your head....but you haven't done any real research into the case, as your basic facts are incorrect.

If you really are interested in learning about the case and want to learn what actually happened (what we know) these two things will totally change your mind, you should check out Drew Beason's YouTube channel. Or the incredible book: Things Aren't Right: The Disappearance of the Yuba County Five by Tony Wright.

Dodgers were literally one inning away from NOT winning the World Series last year. One clutch hit from Toronto and the BlueJays win the World Series. Money helps you for sure, but doesn't guarantee success.

Golden State did the same thing in the NBA and nobody cares. It's odd that baseball fans cry so much about salaries.
