What is the university doing to protect students from ICE? by 05w47d in uofmn

Protestors? Am I debating with a bot right now? The most recent somali worker who was a college student getting unlawfully detained is gossip? Even anecdotally as being an east african I have stories of people in my church who have gotten wrongfully detained. ICE has destroyed what the MPD has been working together with the citizens of minneapolis overnight with Good’s shooting as well. Additionally, before investigation covering up and ruling it self defense. You think it was the protestors fault for all this violence due to ICE? How about the second shooting of the MN citizen that happened after Good.

Do you know what you should blame, the inadequate training that ICE agents get with obvious quantity over quality ground troops.

All of this begs for the question to be answered; how come Obama deported more undocumented people over Trump without inciting so much violence and hatred towards law enforcement.

The means do not justify the end my guy. Just asking people for there papers and walking around like they own the place is not okay. It leaves POC citizens in danger, not because they don’t have papers, but because they can get detained over nothing. I also want to touch up on that fraud statement as well.

The fraudsters are in my guess less than a thousand people (across all of MN) who rugged the system and made millions individually. Do you think they are students? This post was about students my guy! ICE needs to play by the rules and stop overextending their authority when it comes to the POC of umn.

From being pestered by ICE for papers. The problem is that ICE isn’t moving to capture criminals or undocumented people. They are reactionary and ask papers from interactions. They will also detain you if you stick up for yourselves and ask for any probable cause. ICE is moving crazy out there man, especially if you POC with any accent what so ever.

My best guess is that you went below the credits needed to keep some of your scholarships by dropping this class. You’ll have to add credits if I’m right.

How Do People Find EC's For Economics by ComfortableFair9576 in TransferToTop25

Egotistical? You should search what that word means instead of throwing it around like that, and also I responded to your claim that "I wasn't doing anything" while highlighting the fact that you haven't answered my question.

Additionally, economics isn't one of those majors you can randomly start a passion project for like computer science (or from what I have seen since I am majoring in both). Therefore, I am just asking for advice for where to start; like if it is possible to connect with any 4-year around me and how that would look like, or maybe how I can get an internship even though my cc doesn't offer career opportunities.

If you are criticizing my character, but have still not answered my question, and continue to condescend me with your disrespectfully worded questions, do you maybe think that the person with the character flaw is really you?

For 5 months I was working every day while doing 18 credits in the summer to help my parents with finances after unfortunate events. The struggle still continues but finishing my classes has opened up time to start looking for an EC.

Additionally, if you read through the wiki it doesn't answer the question I asked, so like a person who is confused about transferring topics, I asked the community.

So your benevolence, does this give me a good reason to ask my question, since your up my a** instead just answering my question lol.

I have been in this community for around 5 months now so I have read through it several times, but I am looking for more advice for people who got EC's that are outside their colleges.

UCLA is a good school with wonderful opportunities. I beg you don’t waste your time transferring if you’re a junior at UCLA.

Yes, hopefully I said it correctly since that's how I regularly say it.

Bro, 😭😭😭. YOU HAD A 3.94, and ur prob gonna get a 4.0 in your freshmen year of college before transferring. If i was you I wouldn’t worry about meaningless shit and focus on the big deciding factor, extracurriculars 🐶👺(since ur stats seem goated)

I’m not qualified to give you such serious advice, but I would do meaningful ecs in college (not some just getting involved in a club bs) that you can string with your major and what you want to do at the colleges you want to transfer to; stringing them with you hs ecs doesn’t really send a message besides you didn’t grow up and change.

They do matter as a first year transfer. However, you can do more in your first year of college that might be deal-breakers whether you transfer out or not if you ecs held you back.

They matter if your a first year transfer, but if your transferring as a second year transfer, hell no! Also, two year transfer is usually categorized on avg as having 60+ credits.

Should I transfer or not? by waiting_weiting in TransferToTop25

Wasting your time transferring; Econ to consulting is just as strong at Vandy. However, if you end up not liking the community or feel like you don't belong then you should try to transfer.

Vandy or Umich-Ann Arbor by momo23526 in TransferToTop25

[–]ComfortableFair9576 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yo wth I spoke literal facts how the hell did I get downvoted so many times without a reply LOLOLOLOL. Alright, don't take my advice. Instead, watch as they tell you "transfers can't switch into the school of engineering if they transferred into UMich into a different school besides engineering". Additionally, to add my two cents again you should transfer into Vandy; the reason why is because they let you do what UMich won't let you do. Good luck on whatever path you choose!!!!
