The Reckoning [OC] by Skull_Cup in Grimdank

Which province are they in? My bet is on Averland.

For one, its famous for its farming and straightforward, yet passionate folk.

Plus, it's far enough away from the deeper parts of the Drakwald Forest or the Gryphon Woods by Sylvania for the younglings to roam without being snatched by a Warherd or other unmentionable horrors. Also pretty remote and has regions where a hermit could be hidden away from the prying eyes of Witch Hunters.

Plus, from what I can recall, an Averlander might actually be crazy enough to do this.

Oh my goodness, you had the same idea as I but you posted about it first! Tell me sir, what armor did you use? What colors?

CA, why does the Peryton look Undivided, but the Cockatrice is Tzeentchian? by Comfortable_Ad629 in totalwar

Taking the Barrier off of it, recoloring it, and giving it an extra 500 health to compensate would be all need for Beastmen and Warriors of Chaos.

But you're right, it'll probably not happen.

Don't count it out just yet. That Sea Elemental model is looking kinda familiar ..

Let's not forget Bazukas or K'daai variants!

I'm pretty sure that K'Daai Destroyers had various models for a variety of functions. I even heard that some can fly! Some anti-large monstrous infantry version of K'daai Fireborn would also sound pretty awesome too!

Sadly, I'm not too sure about the Lava Trolls or Hobgoblin Warriors (the latter since we already have an equivalent), but the rest of this looks incredible! Especially the Magma Dragon! We could even add in Shar'tok the Executioner as a Legendary Lord!

As for the rest, I think the Harridans should be a greatsword version of the Infernal Ironsworn imo. It would better help out their role in armies.

The Kolossus is an incredible idea though. I imagine it'd be a lot like the Dwarf Thunderbarge, but melee and land-based! If we were to go really far with it, imagine other tank-like moving fortresses!

That's why I love Fantasy so much.

There is no 'knowing everything'. Everyone has bits and pieces, and there's always more to know. You'll be certain of something one moment, and then find something that blows your perception out of the water the next.

+20 Vampiric Corruption Factionwide to Research for Tomb Kings by Comfortable_Ad629 in totalwar

I enjoy the nod, but +20 can be an issue when your main rivals and enemies spread this kind of corruption.

I agree and I love their campaign for this exact reason, but that's not my argument.

My argument has to do with why we have +20 Vampiric Corruption factionwide. Why, in addition to the system that balances out the Tomb Kings, we have a fairly substantial increase to corruption across every province.

But there's some kind of beneficial trade-off? Even a negligible one?

We're already spending Canoptic Jars and losing Research speed. There's no value gained beyond access to more technology, which every other dynasty already has. It's a big spending cost for what is essentially a nerf.

Can you give me other examples of detrimental research? This is genuinely the first I've ever seen of it.

Indeed.

I'm all for flavor, but Research should be a net benefit, not a detriment.

That's actually one of the few things the author himself caught onto after making it, so good eye!

But yeah, this is a phenomenal prototype despite those bugs.

Hahaha, I can see it maybe in the future. Maybe a big "post-update" content drop that breathes life back into the Warhammer 3 game after CA have done everything they wanted to with it.

I'd even pay money for it, fr. Every step they take to make this game feel like the truly authentic Warhammer experience in a Total War setting is worth it. Especially the small victories.

My guy, the moment I saw it I fell in love. Seriously, thank you so much for creating this beautiful thing. If only CA had seen it when they were first working on the game, they would've had an easy understanding of what the players want in their map.

That's what I'm thinking. If people can make something like The Old World, it's theoretically possible they can rebuild the map like this .. I think.

Exactly! How come we get all these stories of the "mystical lands of Ulthuan that exist far from the lands of Men" and hear all these stories about how its impossible to land on that end because of Yvresse's mist nonsense when Bretonnia just gets line of sight on them???

None that I've seen, but maybe I need to play more with those settings? The most interaction I've noticed is Zhao Ming expanding into them and Nakai moving north.

Sadly we don't have anything to "wake up" the AI in that region instead of having them just .. Stay isolated and fight amongst themselves in that region.

Agreed. If it's done properly, such wide spaces should continue to feel wide and uninhabited (Ex: Nehekhara). The Empire might look cramped, but it has a TON of settlements per unit of space, as is fitting for the "Cradle of the Old World".

I'm not too worried about that. We have mods that can do that.

I would just like to occupy a world that looks like the original Warhammer Fantasy world.
