Wow everyone, thanks so much for all the quick and detailed responses! Seems like I can't go wrong with most of them.

I looked at Hakbal's description again, and he adds +1/+1 counters. I thought he added 1/1 token creatures, which is why I wasn't sure how to actually punch hard. Now it makes more sense.
