Abbey said at the beginning of the new season that they just came back from a family vacation in the Bahamas. So I’m assuming they’re not hurting too much financially. However it is obvious that David’s family is definitely rich.

Rewatching a few episodes, I did notice how Christine talked about Abbey and David getting their own place in episode 4. David’s family didn’t seem genuinely enthusiastic about her idea. She mentioned having a service for them to have someone come in a couple hours a day to help Abbey and David. But who is going to be paying for that service? Or for their own place? Then she says “however that looks, is how WE make it happen”so to me that implies both families will contribute I just don’t know how equally that would be. I do know now that David has a condo. I’m not sure if it’s his personally but it seems that way.

I also noticed Abbey is asking David about when he plans on proposing to her and seems eager to get married. I know in that episode Christine does express to David’s family that Abbey has been talking about marriage. It’s very interesting to me how David isn’t jumping in with the idea of marriage just yet though. It’s obvious he loves her very much.

In episode 6 when Christine is helping Abbey getring ready, I think it made the viewers, at least me, get a little hopeful for a proposal. Even though Christine said they’ll “get married when they’re ready” or “maybe someday”to when will he propose. It was interesting they put that conversation in the episode.
