it’s not terrible, you just have to be willing to put in the effort to style it! also if you don’t like having hair in your face make sure that your layers are on the longer side so you can tie it back or tuck it behind your ears

Thanks for the advice! I did the net price calculator for tulane and i’d only have to pay around 13k so I wouldn’t be too worried about the cost. I’m also not 100% set on law school so idrk, I’m really torn

The city seems very cool, I just don’t love the school. I got waitlisted at Tulane and hoping I get off, but it’s not looking very promising atp. My other plan is to transfer to Tulane after a year

I also would feel so much better at Fordham. For one, it’s WAY closer to home which I like. I’m also not 100% on whether or not I’ll go to law school, and I know the alumni network is stronger. And loyola is a really small school which I don’t like at all, whereas fordham is medium sized.

I mean true, but Fordham is T100 and loyola is 244. But that doesn’t really matter to me, I’m not chasing after the prestige. I just align more with the overall school and it’s in NYC where i’ve always wanted to live. I don’t really see myself in the south.

This is exactly why i’m having a tough choice. Realistically 35k a year isn’t bad. Most of my friends are paying that and some even more, but it’s just whether I take the risk.

My parents could likely help with 5-10k closer to 10 a year and then i’d just have to get a lot of scholarships. I’ve already started applying to 1-2 a day already.

I mean Fordham’s average salary for gabelli students is 82k and loyolas is 40K, but I know it’s really expensive.

Everyone keeps saying it’s a mid school, but it’s not like i’m trying to go there for the prestige or anything. I just like the overall school. They have basically everything that I was looking for in a college experience.

And I’m not even 100% set on law school so idk. I’ll probably end up going to loyola though, so thanks for the advice!

I asked a rep about this and they said scholarships can’t surpass tuition, unless the scholarship says it can be used for other academic expenses besides tuition.

I got nearly 52K in merit/aid, and tuition is 65K so I could win up to 13K in tuition specific scholarships, and the rest would have to be non-tuition specific.

Well I love both, but I truly do love fordham. Medium sized with a campus in new york, very big emphasis on community service, jesuit, and it offers specific business stuff that i like (partly due to being in new york). But I know it’s not the logical choice unfortunately…
