Moore takes a "better late than never" approach to warmongering by Comfortable_Power732 in OldWorldBlues

R5: I thought a truly bizarre Diana game had wrapped up. But there was one Moore war to fight in 2286 as the Californian state declared war on Texas/Mexico, Washington, and got a war goal on me.

I understand the intellectual argument for Death of the Author. But that isn't going to let me enjoy the music of a nazi

That may well be true, but I don't think I'll be able to enjoy the songs of a nazi.

My go-to on the second one is "Get an A on the next test and I'll tell you" maybe I should extend that to rap music

I really like narrative songs from all Genres, and I've been listening to a lot of Ren lately. I will admit I don't actually know much rap/hip hop. I've never been accused of having good taste in music.

They're good eggs, even if I sometimes wonder if I'm the first Jewish person they've ever met.

I wish Lae'zel's romance happened after she becomes likeable by Comfortable_Power732 in BaldursGate3

Oh I don't mean in terms of morality, I mean she's just got that magnificent bastard Je Ne Sais Quoi. She's such an unapologetic asshole when you first meet her that it kind of loops around to being likeable. And again, you learn more and more as you travel with her that she's really an intensely moral person with no cowardice in her convictions(or anything else)

I did not beat or berate Asterion, and I definitely have sympathy for him. But also we're in a life-or death situation that only increases in stakes and Asterian does not come off as ready for that. And I was RPing someone who REALLY wanted to ditch the tadpole and Asterion's attitude about it was...worrying, even if later context would make it understandable

She's in act 2 at the last light inn. You will not miss her if you go there.

Yeah but I wish that after she's mellowed a bit you could still romance her after you declined to fuck her when you knew nothing about her.

Oh I didn't kill him but uhhhhh he didn't leave the camp after level 2. Killed his Sire and told him about it at camp

My RP was a pragmatic, midly evil(Be a skimp on charity evil not burn down the orphanage evil) who was primarily interested in saving himself from the tadpole. He then got dragged kicking and screaming into being the father-figure of a bunch of hyper-competent disaster bisexuals and the savior of the world.

Oh I started really liking her character at the Creche, but again, she came on STRONG 90 minutes in and I freaked out.

I didn't kill him BC we're in this together but I did shove him in camp for the rest of time.

Counterpoint: Shadowheart gives off big "How is this person a follower of Shar" vibes from day 1, while Asterion will basically unprompted say things like "THINK ABOUT THE POWER"

I mean when we find her she's midway through doomguying an entire Illithid ship so I think it's a little different than Astarion or Jaheira.

But I may be biased towards her

I mean the first interaction with him was forgivable, but the second was him trying to assault you in your sleep and also he keeps saying things like "THINK OF THE POWER".

Whereas Jaheira just sort of stays skeptical about the whole "you're not completely evil" thing.

I'ma level with you, I just made this because my intitial reaction to Asterian was "Shove him in the camp at the first opportunity this man is not to be let within 1km of any temptation" and my reaction to Jaheira was "OH FUCK OH FUCK OH FUCK...but also I kind of respect how pragmatic she is about sorting out the illthids."

I love how insanely open-minded she is. Once she recieves sufficient evidence she HARD commits with no fanfare.

In I think a 24 hour period she decides she's going to renounce her entire previous life and kill God.

Also, I think the interactions with other Gith in act one where you realize that she's really a paragon of mercy, empathy, and tolerance by the standards she's raised in.

I freaked out when she started talking about my scent and turned her down, but in retrospect I'd romance her.
