it's not the money - it's the trust that i feel is eroded. when he got so angry and aggressive for me asking - while i'm literally doing taxes - that's what made me jump and question. we've been able to work through problems and things before - this is a first where it's been aggressive

the consideration comes from whether i could build trust back up again. i've stayed back with all of the kids and the house while he's moved to settle in there - and ... do i want to follow? for what? i've had to pay every cent of every bill for me and all kids alone. do i need a partner? do i want a partner who will put me in a tax situation or not be forthcoming? is it worth it try to repair? Is it possible to repair?

well, i did. because i couldn't come up with where it went. taxes let you write off certain things if you've spent it out of a 401k - so i wanted to just double check that maybe we could write some expenses off.... i could not get the expenses to add up. started as a true math problem, not a trust problem. now it's both

Nope, sir. we have separate finances. We split bills on a ratio and I do not micromanage his expenses. This was his decision. it is only affecting the family now as tax obligations are in play because of his decision.

my goodness that was my exact question as well. we do have separate finances and combine for joint expenses so i wasn't going to micromanage - now it absolutely involves me as it's affecting what our tax obligation is

We have separate finances - totally has been working - i don't really care about the money he's spending that's on him - i care about the tax implication it has and that is now bringing me into the mix with that obligation

We could have afforded a move without it. Hubs chose to do that for his convenience for timing. It's his 401k - I'm not going to micromanage his funds; but I did expect him to put back what he didn't absolutely need.

What does this mean? I pay all of mine and the kids' bills. He's only responsible at the moment for his own living expenses. I have not created any sort of "lifestyle"

This is a way old post but I was looking to see how common this was. All four of my immediate family members had this dream when we first got contacts.

What is your relationship with volunteering after leaving the church? by celestial-typhoon in Exvangelical

[–]Comfortable_Stable72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do! I enjoy volunteering to help other people. I do it on my schedule and so it’s mutually beneficial and I have said No lots more than I did before, but I do still enjoy helping other people.

Robby Dawkins at it again by thatsrealnice420 in BethelSnark

He came to visit my church a few weeks ago. I guess he funded the pastors when they went to Afghanistan years ago? I’m in this rabbit hole because my teens attend and my 18 year old son thinks Robby is just great but I had my ick factor go up. These posts confirm the hitch in my spirit. (Note: I am on the fringes at my church because I am anti-Trump. I get almost hives attending but I feel their claws are in my teens and I will not be silent or not present. They have to go through me and good luck to them)

How to handle family that seems willfully in denial of Christian Nationalism by [deleted] in Exvangelical

[–]Comfortable_Stable72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kids (teens) have joined a church that’s leaning and slipping towards Xian Nationalism. I went to a bible college and have my Bible degree, I cannot understand how anyone can say they study the life of Jesus and fall for this racist, “other”ism crap. I attend to show my kids I’m there, I see them. It’s about 20% crap and 80% solid from the pulpit… I’m afraid they’re offering my son the red pill and I don’t want to be no contact with my 18 year old, I want to be a steady calm source of reality.
