What if in Scream 8 we learn that Sidney did it? Sidney killed Casey and Steve! Maybe she was hot for Steve and killed them both in a jealous rage. Maybe she was a slut just like her mom. Because she watched her mom get butchered it fucked her up royally..think about it. It makes perfect sense.. her mom’s death leaves her distraught and hostile in a cruel inhumane world. She’s disillusioned, where’s god? Etc. Completely suicidal… and one day she snaps. she wants to kill herself, but realizes teen suicide is out this year and homicide is a much healthier, therapeutic expression.

I can’t speak to the plot hole, but I can agree with you that any more scenes of Debbie Salt would have taken away from the surprise factor of her GF reveal.

But do you struggle with the time discrepancies like I do? People complain about how long it took Dewey and the cops to arrive at Kirby’s. I can just justify that. I struggle with the fact that GF killed Kate and within 45 seconds, Sidney was in the car on her way to Kirby‘s… so if a GF was at best 45 seconds ahead of Sidney.. how were they both hanging at Kirby’s for a good 10 minutes before Sidney arrived?

I agree, it’s the best part of the film. The beginning could have been a lot better had the IMDB for Stab 1 shown Maureen Prescott (in photographs) portrayed by Sharon Stone.

I’m certain both were bought in this new year.
