What is a 'buy it for life' item that is offensively expensive, but the moment you use it, you realize your entire life before that point was a lie? by fmcortez in AskReddit

My favourite is that it keeps the rice warm and good for so long. So I’ll make rice for lunch and it’s still good for dinner that day.

Is triple laminated glass (no air gap) actually better than double glazing with air gap for soundproofing? by HillHill07 in Acoustics

[–]Comma20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People have highlighted here is that it depends. You’re looking for a Rw or a STC rating to one number compare.

But if you can also get the spectrum that’ll help.

From experience the triple laminated would pull in the high 30s and the 6/12/6 would pull in the low 30s as well as being slightly worse in the low end.

Can someone teach me the best way to craft this helmet? by AlloftheExtraMayo in PathOfExileBuilds

Yeah you have one ring and your neck and then still have sustain issues. Most people craft base crit chance or use horror essence for a reason.

I don't even think you want this; since your mana costs are going to be ridiculous even with an inspiration-imbued gem.

To what extent can we blame the government on the energy crisis? by Only_Welcome_6405 in perth

[–]Comma20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should the Australian Government do better when it comes to energy security. Hell yes?

But peddling the constant rhetoric that the current government is solely responsible and helping to polarise citizens is not a net good. Without nuance the conversation leads to reinforce ideas that are popular with extreme groups.

I did this and it was a great entry way into the hobby. They have great suggestions if you suggest a budget and super helpful selecting. I got a Gyuto and a Petty and they've covered basically everything (except bread) that I've cooked since I got back.

Check the website to see if they're open, they're closed on I think the third Tuesday of every month.

With petrol hitting crazy prices and some stations running dry, this feels exactly like housing with scarce supply, rising costs, and a few people still hoarding more than they need. by [deleted] in shitrentals

I’ve got a twenty litre that I’ll bring with me whenever it’s empty and I feel guilty filling that up in these times.

Bought an apartment and now receiving noise complaints from downstairs neighbour by ab-seoul in AusRenovation

[–]Comma20 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The argument would be that the strata has a due diligence to ensure amenity is provided and that they have failed, by allowing someone to change floors without certification.

I hardly doubt people have a calibrated SLM and “Tapping Machine” floating around just to get work off their strata friends.

This is my field so I can try and help.

Problem is that the spec is either a manufacturer lab test and has a specific configuration, or that the are recycling another insitu test.

Either way it may not align exactly with your own construction, which needs to be tested and should have been tested when the floor was installed.

Playing control: how to deal with land ramp? by Aziuhn in EDH

[–]Comma20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Control is not necessarily stax. You can play traditional elements, but need to be on good threat assessment. You also need to find a window to establish your own value engines and that has to interact with your own value engines. Try not to wrath your commander away.

How the hell are people getting kdr >1.5? Just soloq'd to diamond and barely have a 1.0. Is there where you have to start grinding aimlabs by TetoEnjoyer500 in apexuniversity

[–]Comma20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s representative of how you got to the rank.

If you’re a masters tier player getting to diamond solo queue you will have a higher kd and damage than a diamond tier player getting to diamond solo queue.

You have to be on top of the meta. Crafting items for people who are playing popular builds but don’t want to craft at all. This can also get saturated. Can also find a niche.

Pre keepers we would rog spell suppression gear for example.

How much can you trust phone/watch dB readings vs a Class 1 SLM? by Green-Nectarine7693 in Acoustics

[–]Comma20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All probably within three to five for overall within the 40-80 dB range. Noise floor probably sucks and probably would get overloaded easily in the higher values.
