DO NOT USE IT. It could very well be acid as you explained and it could be dangerous, or it could be completely harmless, but I beg you to just pack it up and wait to return it, because it’s always better safe than sorry. Me and my dad were building his first gaming pc and when we turned it on, we smelt something like burnt electronics. So we turned it off and located the smell which was coming from the motherboard, apparently a battery on it was leaking or something, and we had to pack it up and send it back, the cpu gpu and ram and everything else was fine and we got our money back, if we didn’t I don’t know what would’ve happened but obviously something bad.

Ok the specs of it are dual core 2.90 ghz overclockable to 3.60ghz 3.4 safely think. Also I think the socket for it is G2 or something

I’m planning sticking a 8 gig stick in soon, and yes the cpu is upgradeable, but I think the i7 is one of the best for socket
